How come there's no all 7 colours of the actual upinde wa mvua on a LGBT upinde wa mvua Flag instead of only 6? I'm just curious that's all. Does anyone know for sure the right answer to this simple swali of mine?

What ever happened to the last colour, colour indigo? It supposed to be the colour of the last stripe on a upinde wa mvua Flag. Where did it go & how come the 7th colour of a real upinde wa mvua somehow has managed to get Lost since it was created back in 1978?

There were actually 8 colors on the flag when it was first created, pink and turquoise were taken off the flag because the dyes for those colors were simply expensive. I'm not sure why indigo isn't part of the flag.
