I'm trying to win wewe back playing not so much fairly perhaps :p Two chaps in a row is always a win

It wasn’t the dead-night anymore.
But not even daytime yet, as a matter of fact, even if a gleaming blanket was hovering in the air now. It drifted through the dust, gilding it, making it glisten brightly.
Everything looked like having a glow. Even the plastic fake-plants in the hall. Even the navy blue carpet on the ground. Even the long empty corridors ahead of him.
It would have been one of his inayopendelewa hours of the siku - dawn breaking.
If only those damn above-mentioned last one would stop sneaking for a moment. They seemed to brunch off from all sides, really tonight. A place of pure madness, which had been set up with the only purpose of torturing him, and make him zaidi and zaidi fretful, turn after turn.
Of course it hadn’t. Been set up for that specific purpose I mean.
The building had always had that very same appearance since 1997 as far as he knew. It would have been preposterous thinking otherwise. Who the hell did he think he was for corridors to brunch off differently, as if someone might prolong his agony, just for the sake it?
It was just him coming down to the wire of course.
And losing it slowly perhaps.

Lisa in the meanwhile had had to sit down.
She sat cross-legged on the couch, pinching repeatedly her lips between finger and thumb. She swung her knees, up and down.
She just had to sit down at some point. It was the only way.
It was driving her out of her mind and eating her up from inside.
Whatever it was.
She still wasn’t so sure about its identity....
She was working on keeping her mind from going there right now, working on keeping herself from just getting paranoid already, ‘cause that was the word, without fooling oneself around any further: P. A. R. A. N. O. I. D.
Just as simple as that. There was no other way to put it.
She bit her thumb-nail, lightly, peering up, keeping on swinging her legs.
Six point fifteen.
She had the impression that awkward sense of empty dizziness she felt oppressing her chest had just sharpened; becoming just as keen as a razor-blade getting through her.
Her moyo fluttered.
She got her breath, closing her eyes.
Nothing.
She tried again, focusing on holding it as longer as possible.
Nothing.
She tried harder, trying to brush if off her: this sense of distress, she felt rushing through her system.
She snapped her eyes open. Nothing.
She couldn’t seem to bring herself to make it stop.
The thud in her chest worsen.
Her head pounded.
She had to knocked back something way harder than a uchungu, chungu pill to bring herself to do.
“Fair enough then...facts....” she muttered to the emptiness.
Her hands were trembling. She rubbed them to one another, cracking her knuckles.
“Alright....”
Fact one: he had told her he loved her.
Fact two: they had kissed.
Plenty.
Fact three: she had kissed him goodbye.
Fact four: he had never asked her to stay.
Period.
End of the story.
Nothing to make heavy whether of.
Nothing to be brooding over that much.
It had always been a mess between them. It still was.
It always would have been for a reasonable still unquantifiable amount of time.
They sucked at timing. Epically. They always had. She doubted they’ll ever won’t.
Lisa kept on chewing her nails, nodding to herself, looking around, blindly
But if he had, if he HAD in deed asked her to stay - kwa some remote chance of course, as absurd as it may sound but if he had - would she have?
And if he came, did she want him to?
She glanced up to the watch once more.
But would he come?

They were still so unnaturally desert. The corridors. Just still so empty. So quiet. So narrow and long. Hugh walked through, door after door, squared glass window after squared glass window.
Creamy-colored roll-down blinds he had never noticed before filtered the light. It was still weak but it was there, getting ready to break in and bustle in on him.
The faltering shadows of the curtains waved up and down the white wall.
Up and down, up and down, up and down.
Like tall silent sentries keeping him a questionable company as he went back through it all, all all over again, starting back from the very beginning.
Why it would be so much better like this. Just so much righter like this. Just making so much zaidi sense kwa this long.
He would letting her go for now and then with time, as soon as things would quiet down....
He was there.
He walked past the last door.
And he was aching for it to be over already.
Lisa had pushed herself upright.
She was walking herself up and down now, a black elastic band between her fingers, getting turned over, repeatedly.
He had told her he loved her. They had kissed. And she knew he cared. And she did too. But she had to kiss him goodbye and she hadn’t been planning it to happen like that, but it had....
And he had not asked her to stay.
She run her tongue across her lips, chewing her bottom on, lightly.
He hadn’t alright. But she hadn’t been promising anything either, had she?
How could she anyway?
She still had a flight to catch. A boyfriend to face.
A boyfriend.
She had a boyfriend.
A flight to catch.
Of course she had.
A boyfriend.
She still had a boyfriend.
And was him to her?
She couldn’t, could she?
He asked her not; au better he hadn’t asked her to to be precise.
She rubbed her hands over her face. What difference did it make anyway?
But he had told her he loved her, right?
Well but dozens have told her so. What difference did it make anyway again?
Her moyo bucked, violently. She snapped her head up, wide-eyed.
Did she?!

Hugh’s head pounded.
His hands were starting to get insufferably sticky against his jeans.
He rubbed them quickly across his thighs, asking to his heartbeat to sort itself out. Of course he did not. He never listened. He never played his game but a speed-racing match of his own.
He took a long, deep breath, but it pained him.
Lisa didn’t seemed to able to expel the breath that had remained hold tightly in her lungs no matter how hard she tried.
She ultimately took a decision and wear her shoes back on.
Hugh lifted up his hand.
He clenched his fist, leveled with his face, prepared himself to knock...
She rushed herself out without even looking, crashing right into him.
None of them of course couldn’t find any voice to say something.
For some good eternal five sekunde straight at least.

And now the rest....coming up next...of course xD

Just to help wewe remember....

Previously on December/December:

"Hugh looked far away from knowing what he was doing. He was a frightening mix of depression and hiper-excitement tonight and that shade of resolution in his eyes, even if he was being very careful in hiding it from him, wasn’t reassuring at all.
“Hugh, I just want to be sure you….”But they had run out of time already. Lisa was pushing her way through the...

„Hugh, that was just a photo… And now people are staring at us.” She sermonized him, taking a peep at the restaurant’s customers.

“I hate it when they ‘re doing this… We come here to eat something, to talk and tomorrow we will read about our affair.”

“Are we… having an affair?” she asked him, not really sure if she really wants an answer for that. Right now she missed the times when they were ‘just friends’ and she could...

They were both laying on the kitanda in the middle of the night, Hugh with her head on his chest. She was listening to his moyo beat for a while and she closed her tired eyelids. Her breath was calm and steady and Hugh thought she’s finally asleep. He slowly took his hands from under the back of his neck and delicately grabbed her kwa the arms to roll her over. While he was laying her on her back, she opened her eyes looking into his just above her head. His hands were still at her back, pressed to the kitanda kwa her body.

“I-I thought wewe were sleeping…” he muttered, feeling her deep breaths...

Thanks for your reviews! :)

He liked being around her. They didn’t have to talk nor do anything, he could just sit inayofuata to her au look at her when she was bustling around the room. When he took his hand from the handle, he sat in the nearest armchair, as her eyes was tracing his movements. They were sitting like that in silence for few dakika when Lisa stood up from the kitanda and went to the bathroom.

“I’ll be back in a minute” she alisema and left the room. Meanwhile Hugh tap into a bottle of whiskey and poured some into the glass.

“Hugh..could wewe help me.. again?” Lisa went out from...

„Lisa, this is not what I meant…” Hugh followed her, slowly enough not to arouse suspicions but fast enough to catch her. “I just wanted to talk and straighten things up between us. Hey. “ He delicately caught her hand to stop her. She did, but she couldn’t force her head to turn and her eyes to look at him right now. “I missed you.” He alisema lowering his voice again.

‘Stop it please” she looked at him and freed her hand from his grip. “This is not the place and you’ve alisema enough.” She alisema and run through the crowd, straight to the reception desk. She civilly ask...
