Here’s a good reason for Justin Bieber’s mashabiki to stop screaming so loudly. Justin thinks he’s starting to go deaf at age 16!
“I think I’ve Lost 80 percent of my hearing,” Justin tells Vibe. “I definitely have very loud fans.”
He may have been joking. au not. But let’s not take the chance. Lower it a decibel au two, ladies.
One thing about growing older that Justin isn’t worried about? Hitting puberty.
“Everyone’s voice changes. Puberty is a natural thing,” he says in the interview. “It’s not like as soon as wewe hit puberty wewe stop singing. Usher is the best mentor in the world, and he survived puberty. He tells me what to do, what not to do.”
As for what comes after puberty … well, that’s a different story.
“My mom has me on a tight leash and [she's] being real protective. The girls onyesha up wearing nothing,” he tells the magazine. “I can’t lie, I’m 16, I don’t hate it. I don’t have a girlfriend.”
But one thing his mom doesn’t know is that when she makes him get off his computer, he finds another way.
“She takes my computer at [midnight] so I can sleep,” he says. “When she takes away my computer, I still play with my iPad. She doesn’t know.”

Variety’s 2010 Power of Youth event, which will take place on October 24th this year, reaches out to the 25-and-under entertainment community, encouraging them to support philanthropic and charitable causes, and getting them to use their positions to encourage mashabiki to do the same. Justin is committed to working with Pencils of Promise, a philanthropic org that works with local communities to build schools and increase educational opportunities worldwide.
Past honorees include Keke Palmer, Jesse McCartney, Corbin Bleu, AnnaLynne McCord and Miranda Cosgrove.
