Our foramu administrator Mel had a chance to meet Lady GaGa before her first “Monster Ball” onyesha in Chicago! She gave her the GagaDaily shabiki book with over 300 submissions from our readers! Lady GaGa loved it and told Mel that she wants to use some of the entries for her inayofuata album shabiki art section! Check out some picha and read the full story below!



Mel: “Holding the fanbook and the page I wanted her to autograph as tight as I could to my chest, I was holding my breath and trying so hard not to cry. I managed not to cry for the length of time we were waiting for GaGa to jiunge us in the meeting room.

When she finally walked through the door, I couldn’t breathe! I was trying even harder not to cry and I couldn’t believe she was in the same room with the person who has inspired me and impacted my life so much through her muziki and contributions to society. GaGa looked so beautiful. She scanned the line of the other VIP people and I could not believe that she had actually just looked at me.

Soon after she sat down at the signing table, an announcement came on about the theater regulations about no drinks in the lobby and no smoking inside the venue. She goes, “shhhh” and cocked her head as though she was listening and waved her pointer finger in the air a little bit like motioning to hold on. Then after the announcement she goes, “that SUCKS! Sorry guys!” That was the first time I heard her voice just from her mouth. It was so intense and such an incredible moment. I never wanted it to end as I could have just watched and listened to her from the distance for the rest of my life.

Then the VIP people began to make their way up to the meza, jedwali to greet GaGa. She was hugging everyone and asked for their name. The meet and greet was moving quickly, as they needed to begin preparing for the concert. I never took my eyes off her as all the people in front of me were meeting her.

Soon it got down to a few people and I was having a even harder time not crying. She scanned the line again and asked if everyone was excited. Everyone but me alisema yes because I was just in awe and speechless. I just stared at her and smiled like crazy. Then it got down to the person in front of me and the event people were asking me to go with my family because they were running behind and I flat out told them no.

When it was my turn, I went up and completely forgot to give the host the camera and GaGa was watching me the entire time getting the camera from my mother to give to her. It felt like a really scary moment because I felt like I was wasting her time and I just wanted to see her. I walked up to the meza, jedwali and she said, “Aren’t wewe cute!” as I finally couldn’t hold back the tears and started to sob. I told her that I was trying so hard not to cry the entire time and she hugged me. While we were hugging, I told her that I loved her and she told me she loved me too. I was so nervous and happy that I forgot to say everything that I had planned on telling her.

I gave her the fanbook and explained that it was from GaGaDaily, over 300 people imewasilishwa something for this book, and they were really excited about it. She started looking at it and was just in awe and kept saying wow. I told her I didn’t have time to submit my own entry and I believe she alisema something about how the book was enough and is great. She kept looking at it for a long time and told me that she would be in contact about entries that she wants to have for her inayofuata album shabiki art section.

Then she asked if that was my family over in the line and asked them if they wanted to come over. I introduced them and they were talking to her about how much she means to me because I wasn’t doing it because I was so speechless. We got a picture with her and afterwards she asked me if I wanted one with her alone which of course I did and I put my sunglasses on for. I was still crying so hard and wasn’t talking as GaGa took my page to be autographed, asked for my name, and wrote, “Melanie, wewe are so special, beautiful, and artistic. I will never forget you. Lady GaGa (cross sign).” She hugged me again and she told me to enjoy the onyesha and I told her to break a leg but I was like being rushed out so I do not know if she heard me.

I wish I had alisema zaidi and I wish I had aliyopewa her a fanbook entry saying everything that I wanted to say to her. But it was the most incredible experience of my life. I will meet her again inayofuata tour if she does another meet and greet. I upendo her so much and I want her to know how much she means to me. I know she really appreciated the book and that she will take the time to look through everyone’s entry.”
