I like dark fics, sure. Fallout Equestria is probably my inayopendelewa fanfiction ever. There is a I'm willing to go when it comes to dark fics, though. Full-on gore in extremely graphic detail is a bit much for my standards.

EDIT: Now that I think of it, i can take gore just fine, but sometimes I do set limits.

It also depends on how well-written the fanfiction is. I like fanfics like keki because most of them are well-written. I read part of "Sweet apple Massacre," and I could barely get through the first page. I just thought it was terribly written. That's what makes the difference to me.

I like violence if it's in an action movie where the're actually fighting for a cause and the good guys win, but I don't see what's so entertaining about watching a bunch of people die in cruelly creative ways.

Their good reads and I like the creativity in them. It shows how dark a mind can get. And it's okay if wewe don't like them. I'm not gonna try to force anyone. ^^
