In reference to the bad mayor one; I feel as though people are over-analyzing this. The show doesn’t focus on their Storybrook jobs, it has a bigger more exciting plot to focus on. And it’s true; none of them were really good at their jobs; most likely because none of them were actually qualified, each only got their jobs through a curse. If we’re gonna talk about what Gina did wrong we might as well point out that Emma used her position as sheriff to break into Gina’s office and search it without a warrant. Or how Archie notoriously breaks doctor patient confidentiality. Or that Whale got drunk on the job (this even after the cure was broken). Or that Mary let her student steal her credit card and skip class. I think ya’ll get the point.

But like you said the show isn’t about that, and honestly they aren’t that bad at their jobs.Likewise Regina wasn’t that bad either. She did get shit done; she kept the town up and running; they had electricity, plumbing, quality roads & buildings, and the economy and budget seemed stable enough. And though it wasn’t for the purest of intentions she had created a new park for the children of the town, a safer one at that.

The only show I can think of that has is Buffy, I think Sabrina may have had one or at least one song at some point, but every show?
I think a show has to have the right tone for it. Despite being based loosely off of some Disney movies which are musical, OUAT just doesn't seem like the right show for it. Not corny enough.

Now Supernatural, that show I would love to see a musical for. It's already had some weird, out there episodes and could pull off a musical.

I love the theme but really done agree with any.
