I wanted to get another dog to be a companion for my English Setter, Theo. zaidi than anything, I missed having zaidi than one furry friend. I once had a gerbil named Peanut, but he died after a mwaka au so. I wanted something that lived longer than a pocket pet, so I decided, "Why not get another dog?" Towards the end of the school year, I ran into a couple of challenges. One evening, Lydia and I went out for a chajio, chakula cha jioni date. As we were heading back, a big deer jumped down from a slope and landed on the car. It broke the windshield, and then it got up and ran off. After I recovered from the shock of what happened, I looked at Lydia and asked, "Lydia, are wewe okay?" She said, "I'm fine. It's yourself wewe should be worried about. You're bleeding." I said, "I am?" She said, "Yeah." I was taken to the hospital. My wounds needed stitches, and they were bandaged as well. I healed well, although I...

It was this past mwaka that I learned who actually cared for me and who didn't. Even though the person I thought was my best friend became maarufu and I didn't, he still talked to me a little. He didn't attack me directly for a while. Earlier this year, my grandfather was diagnosed with a bad case of double pneumonia. I visited him in the hospital. He woke up, but he didn't speak to me at all. He then went back to sleep. He died an saa after I left the hospital. Overcome with grief, I didn't want to eat, because my chakula didn't taste good to me. One siku at school, I fainted from hunger. When...

I said, "My sekunde girlfriend didn't feel that way." Lydia said, "She didn't deserve you." I began to open up to Lydia even zaidi during our date. When I started high school, I met the person I thought was my best friend. He would later betray me, but I'll get to that later. We met in English class and casually talked after school. One day, a group of bullies knocked me to the ground. They were about to beat me up. He came out of nowhere and said, "Hey! Leave my friend alone!" The bullies left. He came up to me and asked, "Are wewe okay?" I got up and said, "Yeah, I'm okay." He asked, "Are wewe sure?" I said, "I'm sure." The one good thing that came out of my high school experience was that I finally met a girl who was perfect for me. This...

Even though I started to feel less depressed, I still wasn't very confident. That's when I got into a bad relationship. She seemed kind at first, but shortly after we started dating, she became so abusive. She abused me physically and emotionally. My mother asked me, "Why don't wewe break up with her?" I said, "I can't, Mother. I upendo her, and I think that deep down, she loves me, too." Sometimes upendo is blind. I finally saw the light one day. My poor excuse of a girlfriend beat me unconscious and left me for dead in a ditch. My parents found me. I woke up in the hospital. I finally admitted...
