Supernatural is interesting in that it took two characters from other CW shows and casted them as the lead for this show. Supernatural’s lead

characters are brothers Sam (formerly Dean on Gilmore Girls) and Dean (formerly Jason on Smallville and CJ on Dawson’s Creek).

In October 2015 Supernatural began its 11th season on the CW which made it the longest running North American science-fiction series, surpassing Smallville which previously held that mark.

Supernatural is pretty remarkable when you consider the fact that not many one-hour TV dramas have the opportunity to run 11 seasons. What’s even more incredible is that Supernatural doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. While the numbers for the show in season 11 are not what they were earlier in the series, Supernatural still brings solid numbers.

It’s not very often that a show is able to accomplish what Supernatural has for the amount of time that it has. If you have never had the chance to watch the show, I suggest you head out this weekend and pick up the first few seasons on DVD. I promise that once you start watching, you’re not going to be able to stop watching.
