I love how the only villains who die on this show are women (Aunt Kate, Victoria Argent, Ms. Blake, Kali) yet the male villains (the twins, Peter, Deucalion, Gerard) live. Misogyny, how adorbs.

Yes, and clearly that one technicality that still allows Peter to be alive and very much not dead and very much an important character at the moment completely invalidates my statement and proves there's no misogyny. Thanks for that clarification.


Non-sacrificial males who have died on this show: Ennis, Matt, Boyd, Peter (which does not even count since he's alive now)
Non-sacrificial females who have died on this show: Kali, Kate Argent, The Girl, Victoria Argent, Erica, Jennifer Blake, Laura Hale, Paige.
The only non-dead females on this show are Allison, Lydia, Morrell, Cora, and Melissa McCall. Male characters outnumber female characters 3:1 on this show, yet more women are continuously being brought in to die while the male characters get to stick around. This shit ain't cute anymore.

I liked the fact that he got to live. Although I'm aware that he did some pretty bad things, the catalyst can be tracked back to when Gerard blinded him, and he lost sight (no pun intended) of his vision of peace, and instead became bitter, vengeful and overall pretty terrifying. Had Gerard not been back stabbing, I would guess that he would still be his old self. Before the flashback episode, I would have probably supported his demise, but I definitely felt bad for him after learning his story. Giving him a second chance at redemption felt like a good thing to do, and I wonder if anyone saw how incredibly innocent he looked at the end, almost like how he did in the past. It would in no way absolve him of his sins, but maybe it will let him see his mistakes and encourage him to "turn a new leaf" so to say

Also, how awesome was the speech Derek and Scott gave him? :)
