Panic! At The Disco are horrible, they're a band that is probably going to be done for sooner than later, the Beatles are epic and will live on forever with their amazing music, it's a stupid comparison.

I will admit right now that I never, never compare anyone to the Beatles, but PATD's style is comparable to them. They don't come close to being the Beatles, but their style is much like the Beatles. Visually more as musically.

P!ATD wasn't compared to the Beatles per say, it was really just their 2nd album "Pretty Odd" that was said to be Beatles-esque. I can't say I really disagree. I adore that album. And if you're seen the "Nine In The Afternoon" music video you can clearly see the Beatles references. They imitate both Sgt. Pepper's and Magical Mystery Tour with their outfits. Also, the bedroom where Brendon Urie was doing the up-close camera shots has a similar setup to the rooms the Beatles live in in Help!. And did you ever notice that all 4 band members are seen in part of the video coming out 4 different colored doors? That's also reminiscent of Help!

Anyways, people need to expect that bands are going to be compared to the Beatles. They were the most popular band ever after all. Just because P!ATD was compared to the Beatles doesn't mean that people think that they're the modern Beatles or something. Don't take such offense.

But let me ask you something. Suppose the question was, for example, "What do you think about the Rolling Stones being compared to the one and only Beatles?" Panic at the Disco is a more modern rock band. They're more comparable to bands like My Chemical Romance. If you're really NOT into modern rock, you probably wouldn't like them. They're all right, but they are COMPLETELY different from the Beatles.

But we need to stop comparing EVERYTHING to the Beatles. Modern bands are completely different and most of them I don't like (unless you're talking about Birdtalker, but they're an indie folk band, not a mainstream band) but some people think modern mainstream bands are the best. And while I agree that most modern mainstream music is not in the Beatles' league, there's not only one great band in the world. Would everyone hate on me if I said that I have a different favourite band? It's Birdtalker by the way.
