Chapter Eleven
Dakota had learned a long time zamani that the hospital always monitored their patients and the ins and outs of the hospital to make sure everything was safe. This gave her the idea that maybe if she could somehow weasel the footage out of the nurse's computer, then she would have a tape of Hazel Portwood admitting to the murders for Abigail and Gwendolyn Dalton. This could hopefully get Connor out of jail. It was a long shot and not very well planned out but Dakota had to take the chance.
She sprinted back to the hospital hoping that they hadn't done anything to that tape. Up the elevator and past some policemen who were standing kwa the cafe, Dakota made it to the ward they had kept her in. She found the nearest nurse who had dirty blonde hair, dismal brown eyes, and messy work cloths. She rested her head upon her hand and stared blankly at the computer screen. She didn't even turn to Dakota. "How may I help you?" Her words came out zaidi like a grunting noise,
"My name is Dakota Sterling. I was a patient her for a while," she said. "I was just wondering if I could see the what was taped in my room. I was in a coma for most of the time so I don't know what happened."
"That is classified information and I leak it out to wewe then I might loose my job," she replied. "But thing again my life is already puke. My ex-husband married a supermodel, my boyfriend dumped me for my sister, and my house is about to be foreclosed."
"I am sorry to hear that miss but I really need that tape," she said.
"Nothing good is going on in my life." She reached into the cabinet and searched through files of files. "I'm sorry but someone must have already gotten to that tape. Maybe inayofuata time."
Dakota stared in disbelief of her misfortune. Just when she thought she was able to take down a killer, the killer was always one ate ahead of her. Why didn't Dakota think of this before? She had options. They weren't great options. It they were options and right now Dakota would have down anything to out Hazel in jail for her criminal actions. She trudged down the steps of the hospital pavement. She needed a ride and she knew just who to call.
"Is that Dakota again?" mumbled an agitated Hazel. She directed her annoyed face towards Reese who was currently looking at the text she just received from Dakota. Reese wanted zaidi then anything to go help Dakota but Hazel was so controlling that it would be almost impossible to escape. "You better not answer that!"
"I wasn't," Reese alisema defensive. "She just wants me to take her home." That wasn't entirely true. Dakota actually wanted Reese to take her t the jail where Connor was currently at residence. If she told Hazel that, then she would freak and probably kill off Hazel. This thought popped a swali into Reese's mind. "Why haven't wewe killed Dakota? She does know that wewe were the one who killed Gwen and Abby. Why not kill her now?"
Hazel pondered the swali a bit longer then would have been expected. "If I tell wewe all my secrets, then what will I ave left to hold within me." A cruel smile developed on Hazel's fine features. She was unnaturally pale but still pretty even with short black hair. "Besides, if too many turn up dead it only makes it easier to make a connection. A connection which will eventually lead to me."
"Your mind is so different," alisema Reese. "You are a twisted and evil soul. Why kill Abby in the first place? What did she ever do to you?"
Tears appeared in Hazel's soft eyes. Her emotions were all over the place since the party. "Do wewe think I enjoyed watching my friend kiss Connor au watching her gain Marafiki zaidi quickly then ever. She had everything while I was just known as her best friend au sidekick. Who would want to be a freakin sidekick?"
Reese felt conflicted. She was torn between trying to reassure her once friend and stare down at Hazel with disgust.
"Just take her to the jail cell," Hazel alisema through sniffles. Reese was alarmed kwa the sudden change of topic but immediately left before one of them had a chance to change their minds. Reese Kingston grabbed her Gucci kanzu, koti and headed out the door.
Hazel couldn't do it anymore. She had to do what needed to be done. She grabbed her black studded bag hat held her prized possession and left a couple if hours after Reese's departure.

Power
wewe are possessed
kwa this world
This so called better future
Is destroying you
At what cost
The fame au the fortune
It isn't worth it
Haven't wewe seen
The corruption
Power brings
Too much of a good thing
Becomes worthless in the end
Don't be like that
Help yourself
Save yourself from this
This unplanned future
Power brings one thing
Death
There is no way around it
It will soon take over
It will become your life
This power that wewe long for
Shall be a death sentence for you
I wish wewe luck
I hope wewe see the way
The way I speak of
How power isn't healthy
And not apart of your diet
Turn away
From the temptation
That power can bring
Forget it
Forget everything
The money
The fame
The power
Don't look back
Behind wewe is the head
The head of evil
The head of power
