"Go Into The Storm Brave One...That's Where Life Is!"
[u][b]Chapter One: Remember December[b][u]
So lets get things straight...
My life is okay for a fifteen mwaka old girl I guess. My name is Eve Barnes. And I live two dakika away from my school, here in North Carolina. My parents died a mwaka zamani in a car crash. It was a head on collision. This person was backing out of there driveway, my parents were taking a short cut home, and they swerved out of the way so they didn't hit them. And along came a truck and BAM! They died. I was with my aunt and uncle at the time. Parent vacations are so boring...and they needed the alone time!
My aunt and uncle broke the news to me and my two cousins: Trish and Jared. I didin't beleive at first until it was on the news later that night. My grandparents are out of the area, they moved to Missouri, and so I'm living with my aunt and uncle now! They are pretty cool, and since it was just a mwaka ago, they are giving me some space since today is the siku they died last year! I just stared out the window at the mitaani, mtaa and saw two cars driving kwa opposite eachother. It reminded me of the crash. Even though I wasn't there, I could just see it happening.
"You okay?" Trish asked sitting on the kitanda inayofuata to me.
"I'm fine. Just...numb!" I answered
"That's good! Last mwaka today, it wasn't an appropriate event. wewe deserve the coping!" Trish said, and I could hear her voice crack as she started to get choked up.
"Dont cry, Trish!" I said, teary eyed too.
"Sorry...lets go play Wii!" Trish grabbed my hand and yanked me downstairs to the game room. They have a Wii, a Playstation 2, and a Game Cube.
"Do we need music?" I asked her, trying to forget about the car crash and just have fun with Trish.
"CUE THE MUSIC!" I laughed, put in Demi Lovato: HERE WE GO AGAIN! and we started playing the game, rocking out to "REMEMBER DECEMBER".
[b]LATER THAT NIGHT...[b]
I walked past the window in the living room, looked out it, and gazed up in the sky. I walked outside and into the front yard, my feet pressing down on the green grass. I stared up at the moon. "Please watch over them! And us...I miss them so much!" I cried and wiped the tears away.
"EVE! TIME FOR BED!" Jared called from the porch. I looked at him, and he walked to me as the moons light lit my teary eyed face up.
"You okay?"
"Peachy! Actually no..." I wrapped him in a hug and cried on his shoulder.
"It's okay!" He whispered. "Lets go inside." He brought me in, and we went to our room. I fell asleep, hoping that tomorrow wouldn't be like today. If only I knew how the future would work! Too bad I dont...
___________Chapter Two: So Far So Great!
I woke up to the sound of thunder! Which was followed kwa lightening and zaidi thunder. Then zaidi lightening. I got up, got dressed, and went to the meza, jedwali for some eggs and bacon sandwiches. But instead of bread, we used bagels. They are the best breakfast sandwich, sandwichi EVER! au at least I think so...
"Sleep well?" Aunt Magee asked putting ketchup on her eggs.
"Eww...yeah!" I alisema and took a bite of the sandwich.
"Good to hear!" Uncle Trey alisema with a smile. We ate in silence for the rest of breakfast. We washed our plates and Trish, Jared and I went downstairs for the playstation.
The whole time we traded turns on playing, we just talked about bila mpangilio things. And somehow I was reminded about my mom and dad. At first I thought my siku WITHOUT PAIN was so far so great! Until now.
My moyo was stung a little bit, and I knew that this mark was a bruise to my heart. A kick to the ribs. A ngumi, punch to the gut. But atleast I know they are better off up there then down here in this place called our world!
"My turn!" Jared yanked the controller from Trish's hands, and Trish turned and slapped him in the arm. I stared at the TV, and laughed as Jared's character fell off the rocks and down a hole. Which reminded me of a lyric: I FELL DOWN THE HOLE...DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF YOUR SOUL. And it makes me feel a little better each time I hear it and say it to myself au to anyone. It gives me hope.

[b]That Night...[b]
I went back outside to sit on the porch, and stared at the sky. Stars twinkeled and glittered off the moons light. A shooting nyota went by, and I whispered to myself THE COMET. I went inside to see the house was empty except for my aunt and uncle. Then I heard Trish and Jared out in the pool. I went out and watched them as they raced eachother. They didn't see me, but I saw them. I went inside, changed, and jumped in.

"You ready for school?" Jared asked as we were drying off.
"Sort of...you?"
"A little!" He said.
"I am! Can't wait to see John!" Trish alisema smiling.
"Who's John?" I asked her.
"My boyfriend." Trish smiled. "He's really cute, too!"
"I hope we have classes together!"
We went inside, and went to bed!
