What is a good French female name?

My story's main character is a French girl, and I'm trying to find a good name for her, preferably from French origin.

I was thinking of the name Madeline.

She's was abused kwa her parents, she's rather quiet and shy. She has short brown hair and is rather short for her age. She's around 10.

Any suggestions?

The right name will come to, and you'll write the story when its the right time :)

Also, if your character is French-Canadian (I don't know), a lot of the names are English too. I know people with English names who speak French everywhere they go.
