I remember visiting this website once...
It was called X-Men: Apocalypse Actress Wants Storm and Black panther Movie
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
have been middling to scathing, the Fox superhero film will still surely be a huge hit this summer.
uniting a large number of famous Marvel characters, including regulars like Professor X (James McAvoy), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), and Beast (Nicholas Hoult) who have previously, and successfully, come together in
, proved it can be achieved on a large scale while introducing new characters along the way. The X-Men franchise has been fairly consistent in bringing together a host of mutants, with
introduce Oscar Isaac’s Apocalypse, as well as Sophie Turner’s (
) take on Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan’s Cyclops, and Kodi Smit-McPhee’s Nightcrawler.
But it’s perhaps Alexandra Shipp’s Storm has the most interesting comic book history, as she continues the role from previous franchise familiar Halle Berry. Shipp’s character has a rich background, having been married to
in a 2006 storyline penned by Eric Jerome Dickey, Axel Alonso, and Reginald Hudlin. They did however divorced six years later as part of the
miniseries, but it’s not stopped Shipp from dreaming of what would be a mouthwatering crossover. Speaking in an interview with
, the actress shares her hopes for a Storm-Black Panther crossover.
“I want that movie so bad.  I’ve got a pitch, I’m like coming up with a vision board, I want this movie to happen. Honestly it doesn’t have to be me – if Chadwick [Boseman] was like ‘you know what, I really want to do this with Halle [Berry]’ I’d be like yo, that’s fine at least make the movie.”
As well as clearly having done her homework in respect to the history of the character, it’s really adorable that, despite having put a lot of thought and extra effort into conceptualizing and merging the franchises, she’d be totally fine if she wasn’t even in it – that’s next-level commitment.
While Marvel Studios and Twentieth Century Fox aren’t yet prepared to collaborate due to licensing rights and contractual obligations separating the two, there’s a chance that, at some point down the line, the studios could reach an agreement that allows for the characters – who are all essentially Marvel products at their root – to appear in each other’s movies. Spider-Man’s part in
was, not too long ago, considered totally off-limits due to the character being owned by Sony. It’s proof that things can indeed change, as we’ve also seen Quicksilver appear in both
 – due to a complicated and rather specific clause that means elements the character (as well as Elizabeth Olson’s Scarlet Witch) is actually owned by both Marvel and Fox.
With the recent news that Michael B. Jordan has joined the
movie, along with Lupita Nyong’o’s ongoing discussions, the Chadwick Boseman-fronted movie is shaping up particularly well. The addition of Storm, in theory at least, would, in the eyes of some, bolster an already exciting solo film that’s on the horizon. While Ryan Coogler’s first outing is already under way, could we at some point see Storm in the future? Here’s hoping.
