The Hatter opened his eyes very wide on on hearing this; but all he alisema was, "Why is a raven like a writing-desk?"
...
"Have wewe guessed the riddle yet?" the Hatter said, turning to Alice again.
"No, I give it up," Alice replied. "What's the answer?"
"I haven't the slightest idea," alisema the Hatter.

While Lewis Carroll had intended for this riddle to have no answer, many have surfaced. Some clever, some silly, and some completley un-related to the riddle. So are wewe wondering what the answer to Hatter's riddle is?
Curiousity killed the cat, wewe know.
However, there is zaidi than one answer to his imfamous riddle, and for those who've grown curious...here are a few.

Carroll's Answer: "Because it can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat; and it is nevar put with the wrong end in front!"
**Note the clever misspelling of nevar so it is "raven" spelled backwards.

Answer 2: "Because the notes for which they are noted are not noted for being musical notes"

Answer 3: "Because there is a B in both and an N in neither."

Answer 4: "They both stand on sticks."

Answer 5: "They both come with inky quills."

Answer 6: "Neither one is made of cheese."

Answer 7: "Because Poe wrote on both; bills and tales are among their characteristics; because they both stand on their legs, conceal their steels, and ought to be made to shut up."
Short version: "Because the Poe wrote on both"
(This one is my personal favorite. I used to tell people this answer before everyone went searching for it once the movie came out!)

There are many zaidi answers, these are only a few. Do wewe have zaidi to tell us? Then share them! Please do!

Have wewe ever looked up what your name means? If not wewe should definitely do so. In the meantime, here are the origins and meanings of several of the names of caracters in the Alice in Wonderland movie. While some of the names from the songesha are made-up (Seriously, when was the last time wewe actually met someone called "Tweedledee" au "Mallymkun?"), plenty of them aren't.

Something to think on: How well do the names and meanings match up to the characters' personalities?

Absolem – Hebrew. A form of Absalom, meaning “Father is peace.”
Alice – A German name meaning “Woman of nobility.”...
