Perachel has been one of the most controversial ships in the Percy Jackson fandom. A lot of mashabiki really hate it, as it "gets in the way of Percebeth", while others think that Perachel is a great ship. In this article, I will be talking about my thoughts on this ship, and why I think it is neither good nor bad.
Firstly, I will say that Perachel is a valid ship. I like Percabeth zaidi because it has zaidi development and time, and it is clear that the mwandishi supports Percy and Annabeth, but I also like Perachel because it is zaidi appropriate.
While there is nothing really wrong with Percabeth, I think Percy and Rachel are actually closer than Percy and Annabeth are. Both Percy and Rachel are teenagers, while Percy is technically Annabeth's uncle, as being a son of Poseidon. Annabeth's mother was Poseidon's niece, so it would make shipping Percabeth a bit awkward at first.
Another thing is the behavior of the couple. Annabeth & Percy's relationship is extremely cute, but also violent. In Heroes of Olympus, we know that Annabeth has beaten Percy up in public, and in front of the whole Roman Legion. Many people say that the romans were being rude when attacking Annabeth, but actually they were uigizaji out of self-defense. Annabeth just literally beat up their Praetor! They would have attacked if Reyna didn't stop them.
Percy and Rachel's relationship is much zaidi easygoing. Percy himself alisema that he was stressed and wanted to go to vacation with Rachel's family. He wanted to hang out with RACHEL, not Annabeth.
Perachel seems like the better choice at this point, but I want to point out a very key thing which Percabeth has, that Perachel is missing.
Most obvious is that the writer, Rick Riordan, clearly wants Percy and Annabeth to be a thing: The Underwater Kiss, Falling in Tartarus, Percy only remembering Annabeth when his memory was wiped, Annabeth looking so furiously for Percy when he disappeared to the Romans, etc. It's clear that Percy and Annabeth's upendo will be forever greater than Rachel's.
So my final opinion is: Percabeth is the better ship, but Perachel is definitely valid and it can be considered a cute ship.
