    In the alley where Arthur’s motorcycle is parked, away from prying eyes in the shade of the tall buildings, Arthur pulls Guinevere into his arms to kiss her properly. Thoroughly.

2 WEEKS LATER, FRIDAY

    Guinevere has taken the siku off. She and Arthur are moving her things to Arthur’s flat. They’ve been making runs back and forth all day, and have taken a break to eat a chajio, chakula cha jioni of curry, bizari takeaway.
    Morgana comes nyumbani during their dinner, and she retrieves a plate for herself and sits.
    “How’s it going?” she asks them as she pokes through the boxes and scoops some dishes onto her plate.
    “Almost done. I think we can get the rest in one zaidi trip,” Gwen says....

    Gwen finishes her call with Morgana and sets her phone to silent. She sets it on Arthur’s dresser and flips the overhead light off. Arthur had made himself cozy under the covers of his kitanda while she was talking, sitting propped up against the headboard on pillows. He beckons to her with one finger, despite the fact that she is already walking towards him.
