On November 6th, 1997, 14 years zamani today, my long journey and struggle with life and death began. I was 23 years old at the time and had a beautiful girlfriend who I adored and loved very much. It was a great siku as we took her young son to the zoo and came back to her place for the evening. As we settled in at her 3 bedroom apartment, I ventured into her brother's room where I sat at the end of his kitanda and began looking at some picha that he had taken recently. .

An argument against Atheism that I come across on daily basis is, in one au another form, an "empty life" argument. What is the point of life if wewe don't believe in a God? How can wewe get up in the morning? But wewe have to belive in something. Atheists cannot be spiritual. Atheists think upendo is only chemistry. How can wewe think people are animals? How can wewe enjoy art and music? etc.

So why do I get up in the morning? How can I look at something and appreciate it without believing a god made it? Does this mean I don't feel love? What is the point of living if there isn't anything greater...

It was around 12:30 and I was at the grocery, I was busy getting some apples when a teenage boy goes over to me and hands me a cold bottle of water and a magazine. I thanked him, but apon kusoma the magazine it was full of lies. It was trying to convert me to Christianity, so before I drank the water, I threw the ice-cold water in his face, dropped the magazine, and alisema "If your so-called "God" exsisted, why didn't he stop me from doing that?" The boy simply replied "Because your denying his love". Right away, I replied "Oh please, If there was a God, I bet wewe he'd rather prefer a good honest Athiest than a preacher on Televison going around lying about his healing powers". He was angered "And how do wewe know who God would prefer?!" If it was even possible at the time, I was calmer than before and answered. "The very same way the bible was made". I smiled warmly as I saw him stomp away with anger.

HOLY CRAP

So today me and my Marafiki went to a friend´s house and as soon as I enter there was a bible to the left a kuvuka, msalaba in front of me etc. This is a normal thing in a nyumbani in Mexico so I didnt pay that much attention to it. Ok than, so we went to the garden and there was a small statue of virgin marie. I thought that was too much but I alisema nothing. So when we were leaving I saw this picture of Jesus Christ in the exit and it alisema "Jesus te ama" (Jesus loves you) The picture was kind of funny and I forgot about everything and I just alisema Jesus loves you?? hahaha

wewe might think what does your dream have to do with atheism. And my answer is I hava no idea but I thought this would be the best spot to put it.

So I was in my classroom back in LA with my catholic teacher (the school wasn´t catholic but the teacher was)and my classmates. That siku my teacher had brought some guest speakers. It was a bishop and some priests. So they were telling us how we should believe in God and how if we didn´t we will all go to hell wewe know the whole story they always say. So anyway I raised my hand and I alisema I didnt agree with that wewe know priests in a public school...
