First of all, I'd like to warn anyone who doesn't like Kataang to kindly leave. Second, I would like to announce that I'M BACK, and I'll be coming back on a regular basis. So, enjoy my first story since a mwaka an a half ago:

Aang sat on his bed, trying to read under the dim light of a single candle. He couldn’t. Not because of the dim light, but because he couldn’t stop thinking about Katara and the kiss he and she shared on the balcony of Iroh’s teashop earlier that evening. Eventually, he got frustrated and put his scroll down. He sat there, letting his mind take him away.

Meanwhile, Katara was sleeping fretfully in the bedroom inayofuata to Aang’s, tossing and turning in her bed. She was having a terrible nightmare.

“Katara! Where ARE YOU!??” shouted Aang. “HELP ME!!!”
Katara heard the WHOOSH of flames. She looked for Aang in the crippled city. She saw walls of blue moto and a scream. “ AAGGHH!”
She arrived at the fight scene. Princess Azula was Firebending with great ferocity at Aang. Aang was trying his best to evade Azula’s blasts, but he was getting burned badly.
“Aang! she cried. “Hang in there!” She reached for her waterskin, but Azula threw a fireball at her. She shrieked and leaped away from it. Her arm got burned. “Oww!” she moaned.
She got up slowly. Just as Aang started to run to her, Azula threw a lightning bolt at him. It struck him in the back.
Aang screamed in pain and fell limply to the ground.
“Aang--NO!!!” Katara cried.
“Oh, no, wewe don’t,” Azula said, throwing another fireball straight at her face.

Katara gasped and woke up. She mopped the sweat from her forehead.
Aang heard her gasp and he jumped up. His feet landed on the floor with a rather loud THUD. He froze, hoping the noise didn’t wake anyone. He listened and heard a heavy inhale from the other room. He tiptoed to Katara’s bedroom door and poked his head into her room. “Katara . . .” he alisema softly.
She knew that voice. She was amassed under her bedspread. “A-Aang?” she uttered.
“What are wewe doing under there?” Aang asked.
She kicked her covers off and said, “I--I thought I heard something.” She walked out to her terrace.
Aang followed her. “Oh,” he replied, “that was me. I heard wewe gasp. What’s the matter?”
She sighed and shook her head. “Nothing. It’s kind of dumb, when wewe think about it.”
“Think about what?” Aang asked innocently.
She turned away. “I told you--”
“Katara . . . is this about the kiss earlier?” he questioned.
She let out another sigh. “A little bit,” she alisema sheepishly. “I’m kind of scared about getting too attached to wewe . . . what if--what if something happens, and wewe . . . well, die?”
“Whoa, slow down,” Aang told her. “Why are wewe so afraid of this stuff? Trust me, that’s not going to--”
“I--I just had this nightmare,” she admitted.
“What about?” he asked.
“Azula,” she said. “She shot wewe again.” She paused. “It was really scary. What if . . . we get distracted . . .”
“Katara, listen,” Aang alisema sternly, but gently. “I upendo you, zaidi than anything. But I swear, without a doubt, that I am fully capable of fulfilling my job towards the world while still being able to spend time with you.” He nuzzled her shoulder and said, “There’s nothing to worry about.”
Katara blushed. “Okay.” Sometimes when he touched her, her moyo would skip a beat
“I guess we’d better get back to bed,” Aang said.
“Um . . . you’re probably right,” she hesitantly agreed. She started to walk off when Aang grabbed her shoulder.
She spun around. “Aang, what is it?”
“Maybe we could, uh . . . do one zaidi thing,” he alisema timidly, blushing.
“What?” she asked.
Should I kiss her? he wondered. I guess I can try . . .
He shyly leaned in and met her lips in a quick, sweet kiss.
They pulled back after about two seconds.
Katara suddenly said, “Aang, I--I didn’t know you--”
“--Had it in me?” Aang finished for her. “Uh, me neither, actually.” He blushed. He was normally a bit shyer than Katara.
She giggled. “You’re so sweet.” She kissed his forehead. His cheeks only turned redder.
The sun slowly rose before them.
“So much for going back to bed,” Aang said.
“I guess so,” Katara agreed.
She sat down on a bench she recently purchased and sighed. “Remember what happened last time we saw the sun?"
“I think so,” Aang said. He pulled Katara up.
“Didn’t it go something like this?” she asked, right before she cupped his face in her hands and kissed him sweetly.
Aang melted right into her kiss and instinctively wrapped his arms around her.
A smile crept onto both of their faces as Aang pulled her closer and tighter.
Katara suddenly had an idea. She leaned out sharply and then pulled him in, making him gasp with excitement. She thought about doing it again but decided not to overwhelm him.
He pulled back first and said, “Hey, that wasn’t what happened.” A light laugh escaped his mouth.
“I think it should have,” she said. She leaned on him, and he leaned on the railing of the terrace.
Wow, she’s really good at that, Aang thought.
For someone so shy and sweet, he’s pretty good at that, Katara thought.
“Ahem . . .” Toph’s voice.
Katara whirled around. “Toph!” she gasped. “H-how much did wewe see? Or, um . . . feel?”
“I heard ‘do one zaidi thing,’ and I felt pretty much everything after that,” Toph alisema honestly.
“You did?” Aang said.
“Yep.” Toph nodded. “Actually, Twinkletoes, I didn’t know wewe had the guts. Good for you.” She punched his shoulder playfully.
Aang winced and said, “Gee, thanks.”
Toph blew on her knuckle. “I try,” she said.
“Yeah, I know,” he replied, rubbing his shoulder gingerly.
“Well,” Toph said, “I’m going to fix me some breakfast. What about you?”
Aang’s stomach lurched. “Yeah, breakfast sounds good to me. Katara?”
“Right behind you,” Katara answered.

So, what'dja think? No flames, please! ;-)

The old man lay on his kitanda and watched his beautiful city Ba Sing Se through the large floor-to-ceiling window of his room.
Things surely had changed since he had last been here. The once empty streets the he and his Marafiki played earthball on were now twice it's size and bustling with traffic, sidewalks lined with blinding mitaani, mtaa lights, and the constant changing traffic lights. The balcony door was slightly ajar, but open enough for the...
