J-14:Why did wewe call your album Goodbye Lullaby?
Avril:A lullaby is something sweet, soothing, and comforting. Goodbye Lullaby represents evolving, changing, and moving mbele from that comforting place. It's about letting go of the things wewe thought wewe needed to be strong and finding your own strength.
J-14:Which track was the most different for you?
Avril:"Darlin" is the first complete song I wrote when I was 15 and finally decided to record it for this record. It's about a friend.
J-14:What's the craziest rumor you've heard about yourself?
Avril:I heard that I died in a snowboarding accident. This happened over the holidays and a bunch of Marafiki started calling and texting to see if I was okay. It was really weird!
J-14:The Avril Lavigne Foundation supports children and youth living with serious illnesses and disabilities. Why is that important to you?
Avril:I've always been involved in charitable causes and giving back is something I really believe in. Helping children and people living with disabilities is something I care deeply about and The Avril Lavigne Foundation is a way for me to really focus on that long term. I also wanted to create something that could hopefully inspire others to get involved.
J-14:When wewe look back at a video like "Sk8r Boi", what do wewe think of the girl in that video versus who wewe are now?
Avril:When I did "Sk8r Boi" I had no idea how successful it would become au the amazing opportunities I would have.
