I honestly thought the movie was wonderful and i liked it better then the book which is a first for me. Critics don't like it and i never really pay attention to what they say, it was breathtaking. Also i think Vanessa did awesome i like seeing her in other things then Disney. I also heard that Critics don't like Alex pettyfer they think her is a bad actor, which i find complete bull

A girl today March 25 2011 came up 2 me and asked wat book i was reading,and wen she saw that it was BEASTLY she said "OMG I WENT TO SEE THE MOVIE AND IT SUCKS ITS LAMO!!!!!!"i was only like "UR ONLY SAYING THAT CUZ U DONT KNOW THE REALLY BEUATY IN PEOPLE!!!!! U ONLY GO OUT WIT PEOPLE WHO ARE POP!!!NOT SOMEONE WHO IS NICE AND CAREING ETC!!!!!!!!!!!" I was so mad cuz she said that....

^^^ but ts true most people cant see the real beauty in people but once you read the book it gives you a whole different perspective of things. and people only want to "go out' with people because they look good and are the most popular people they know and its ridiculous!!!!

Having just seen it online (I'm renting, so I'm currently poor lol) I can honestly say it was ok, not great. I loved the book for it being a modern day retelling of the fairytale I loved as a child. The movie took some liberties, most notably the lack of climactic conflict at the end which made the transformation back kind of fall flat since there was no life and death struggle or obstacle to overcome.

I didn't have a problem changing the "beasts" appearance, I just wish they could have kept some of the aspects of the book that made the story work.

Beastly is one of the best movies I've ever seen :D
