Secondly, Ichigo would not be interested in being a Captain, because that would mean that he would have to recognise authority, something I doubt Ichigo would be particularly interested in. Plus, as of episode 366 (spolier alert), there are no Captains positions left. He wouldn't be able to lead a squad and deal with all the paperwork and responsibility that comes with the job. That aside, I suspect that he has a human's lifespan, and captains are meant to last for centuries at a time, even if they don't in many cases. All that aside, why would he want to?
