I remember visiting this website once...
It was called 'Blindspot' first look: Rich Dotcom returns!
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
When the FBI needs to infiltrate a collegiate secret society on
, they must align with a former member, the incarcerated, cocksure playboy portrayed by Ennis Esmer, who will quite literally tango with Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) during the hour.
,” executive producer Martin Gero tells EW. “They’re trying to get to the bottom of a case while inconspicuously dancing.” But as Rich’s history is finally unveiled, the team will discover that the fan-favorite techie has six degrees of separation from Sandstorm’s Phase 2.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What can you tease of Rich Dotcom’s return?
MARTIN GERO: Well, this is a kinder, gentler — or trying to be kinder, gentler — Rich. He found religion in prison when we meet him, and it turns out he’s found all the religions. He’s kind of everything. He’s reading the Bible and the Quran and wearing a yarmulke and Tibetan monk robes. So, he’s really trying to convince us that he’s a more spiritual, deepened person now that he’s found himself, even though it seems to be a very scattered self. It’s a great starting point for the episode. On top of that, it’s a real exploration into Rich’s past. The show starts with a little flashback from 2001, where we see the early days of Rich and Boston working together, and it’s very much about this old fraternity that they used to belong to, and this piece of math that Rich basically came up with that has found its way onto Jane’s body.
Oh man. That’s one of the greatest scenes we’ve ever done. It’s so long. It’s not a short scene. It’s basically
. They’re trying to get to the bottom of a case while inconspicuously dancing. It’s a real treat. Those two love each other; Ennis and Sully just get along so, so well and they feel so safe with each other. It’s a real fun continuation of Rich’s obsession with Weller. They also practiced a lot.
How will Rich feel about Jane and Weller still not being together at this point?
Well, he, like most of America, is not happy about it. But from here until the end, I think all of our Jeller fans will really find what they’re looking for. I don’t want to give too much away, but there’s good things ahead for the Jeller crowd. Of course, Rich can’t help but plant some seeds here.
You’ll just have to wait and see. I think it becomes very clear why he’s tried to change himself in the course of the episode.
You should always never trust Rich. Sometimes he’ll surprise you either way, though.
