Carlos Pena is one of 4 members of BTR, a series that it began as movie and happened to be one of the vipendwa of Nickelodeon. From L.A, we chat with him and find a funny and grateful boy who cannot believe he’s living this dream together with his 4 companions whom, already he considers to be friends.

LUNA TEEN: – What do wewe have in common with your personage?
CARLOS: – He is an exaggerated version of myself, he not have limits , is able to do anything and has lots of energy. At the same time, is very affectionate, a real team player.

LUNA TEEN: – What do wewe think is the best of this program?
CARLOS: – Besides being fun, the muziki is incredible and everything is possible: there are continually hilarious situations, like a cartoon but with actors, crazy.

LUNA TEEN: – How are they between you?
CARLOS: – Fantastic, we are very friends. The whole process, from the movie up to the program, they were 2 years like that that we spend a lot of time together and we enjoy it.
Also, imagine that we begin 6.30 AM, we record the whole day, later we have chajio, chakula cha jioni and go away to sleeping. On Saturdays and Sundays also we are working, so practically we do not see anybody any more.

LUNA TEEN: – Are wewe go out together when not working?
CARLOS: – Yes! And we arm double dates. James is the one that zaidi flirts so he is a bit the girls’ supplier.

LUNA TEEN: – wewe have a Latin name, do wewe speak Spanish?
CARLOS: – A bit, my mom is from Dominican Republic and my dad is from Venezuela. I was born in Florida, USA.

LUNA TEEN: – How did wewe start acting?
CARLOS: – Like all I suppose. In school works and doing commercial. To the 15 I had a participation in ER and later in other series, until BTR appeared.

LUNA TEEN: – What is the best of being an actor?
CARLOS: – That, when wewe have an evil day, wewe can put in the skin of the personage and to forget everything. Also, wewe become a model, the boys look what wewe do and follow you, it is incredible.

LUNA TEEN: – And the worst?
CARLOS: – I do not believe that it has something bad at all. When wewe become famous wewe begin lose a bit of intimacy and of private life but, when wewe put it in perspective, it is not so bad. Often wewe are tired and they come to ask for autographs but worth it.

LUNA TEEN: – Which is your dream?
CARLOS: – To come to Broadway. I play the piano, the guitar, gitaa and singing. Always I took Broadway as the final goal, zaidi than any movie au program. Always I took Broadway as the final goal, zaidi than any movie au program, I want to stage a musical there.
