INGREDIENTS

FOR THE COMPOTE

1 lb. strawberries strawberries, hulled and halved
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
juisi from half a lemon

FOR THE CAKE

2 c. all-purpose flour
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. kosher salt
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
2 large eggs
3/4 c. strawberry compote
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
3/4 c. milk
pink chakula coloring (optional)

FOR THE FROSTING

2 (8-oz.) blocks cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. strawberry compote
6 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. heavy whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Pinch kosher salt
Fresh strawberries, for garnish (optional)

DIRECTIONS
In a chakula processor, puree strawberries then add to a small sufuria with sugar and lemon, limau juice. Place over medium low heat. Cook, stirring often, until reduce kwa about half, about 25 minutes. wewe should have about 1½ cups of strawberry compote. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
Preheat tanuri, joko to 350° and grease and line two 8” round cake pans. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another large bowl, with a hand mixer, beat together siagi and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in strawberry compote and vanilla until fully incorporated then add milk. Add dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. (If wewe want a super pink cake, stir in some pink chakula coloring.)
Divide batter evenly into prepared pans and bake until a toothpick inserted into the middle of each comes out clean, 25 minutes. Let cakes cool for 15 dakika then invert onto cooling racks to cool completely.
Make frosting: In a large bowl using a hand mixer, beat cream cheese and siagi until no lumps remain, then beat in strawberry compote. Add powdered sugar and beat until fully incorporated then mix in heavy cream, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Add zaidi heavy cream as necessary to reach your desired consistency.
Spread a thick layer of frosting on juu of one cake layer. juu with sekunde layer of cake, then frost all over sides and top. Garnish with fresh strawberries if using.

Ingredients
1 ¼ c. cake flour
½ c. all-purpose flour
½ c. honey
½ c. unsalted butter, room temperature
1/3 c. sour, wamekula cream
2/3 c. whole milk
2 eggs
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
1 vanilla bean, scraped
1 tbsp. vanilla extract

For the mascarpone frosting:

1 (8 oz.) container mascarpone cheese
½ c. heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract

For the caramelized figs:

¼ c. granulated sugar
8 ripe and sweet figs (mission au turkey), cut in half
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat tanuri, joko to 350 degrees. Line 2 cupcake tins with 16 liners, set aside.

1 box vanilla cake mix, plus ingredients called for on box
1 1/2 c. strawberry jam
1 c. karanga butter
FOR THE FROSTING
1 (8-oz.) block cream cheese, softened
1 1/4 c. karanga butter
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. heavy cream
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Toasted chopped peanuts, for garnish

DIRECTIONS

Preheat tanuri, joko to 350°. Grease a 9”-x-13” baking pan with cooking spray.
Prepare baking mix according to package directions. Pour into prepared pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean, 30 minutes. Let cool completely.
