That was the swali Jesus asked the women at the well, as wewe read in John 4:7. Why would Jesus need man to do him a favor in the first place? Is He not the Almighty God who can do whatever He wants? So why would He need to ask a foreign women to give Him some water? Why would He ask wewe for a favor today?
wewe can respond like so many others do and say 'just leave me alone, I don't need you' and he probably would. wewe look at him just like one of these annoying insurance sales men that really don't want to leave wewe alone until they got wewe to either buy something from them au throw something at them.
But Jesus is not this kind of guy. He simply asks wewe for a favor and gives wewe an opportunity that will be for your own benefit in the end. Come on, it's no secret that the world is careless, best Marafiki disappear when they are needed the most and the ones wewe upendo will eventually kick wewe in the teeth.
Yeah right, and now wewe try to tell me that the church is any different? Well, I wish. But to be honest, it's probably not the truth. But I believe that God himself is really different. He doesn't push, he doesn't condemn. He really loves wewe in a way that is hard to believe. Your father might have been hard with wewe and your mother was never there for you, but the upendo and acceptance that wewe will experience in His presence is amazing.
wewe don't need to proof anything. wewe don't need to pretend to be someone that you're not. wewe don't need to be perfect. Just face the crap in your moyo and be honest with Him. Tell Him something simple like 'I know that I'm full of crap and I can't change it.'. He will still listen. wewe see, there are a lot of preachers out there that preach moto and brimstone and how sinful wewe are and that wewe are a miserable rotten sinner. But quite honestly, wewe knew that before. That is not good news!
The good news is that wewe don't have to stay like that. Jesus can transform your life and make it worth living again. That's the good news! He just needs your approval. He's not a selfish sales papa that doesn't care for you, but he gave everything up, including his own life, to make it possible for wewe to have a better and eternal life. When was the last time wewe saw a sales man selling all his own stuff to give wewe money to buy what wewe wanted? I have never seen someone like that! But that is exactly what Jesus did. He gave all He had to give wewe all wewe want. That is real love! It is hardly found in people today, but it is found in Him.
When He knocks at door of your moyo and asks wewe for a favor. Instead of ignoring Him, open your moyo wide and wewe will end up having zaidi than He has requested from you.
Trust him for once and say something like: 'Jesus, I'm quite a wreck and I ask wewe to forgive my sins. Please come and pour your upendo into me'. What wewe will experience will be zaidi than just another moment of your life, but wewe will encounter the true power of God. wewe will feel a difference and wewe will be starting into a true adventure and into a life that is worth living.
'OK, and where is the small print?' Here it is:'Life is not just easy because of Jesus, but it is never hopeless. wewe will NOT just be a puppet of God, but a man empowered kwa God. Problems don't just disappear, but He will help wewe through and make wewe a way.
Be blessed.
