Cosplay Swali

An important swali

I have another swali of importance.

Is it true that just because a guy Crossplays as an anime girl, does this make him less of a man?

My mom keeps insisting me that I shouldn't Crossplay simply because I am a man and that I should dress and act like one- regardless of how many times I told her that the only reason I want to do it is for the upendo of my inayopendelewa characters (Who happen to be female) and because it's something fun I want to try.

So, in your perspectives what do wewe guys think? Does it make me less of a man that I want dress like anime girls for only a "three" siku event au is it okay? Please be gentle with your responses as this is supposed to be help me solve an issue. Thank you.

No, I don't think it makes a man 'less of a man' for crossplaying for fun. I don't see anything wrong with having fun and dressing up as your favourite character regardless of its gender, au how it makes someone 'less of a man'. So, no, it doesn't, in my perspective. Although, there are probably a fair few people who do think that, like your mum, but, who cares? wewe should just do what wewe want to do and not care what people think. =)

Exactly what I've been insiting this entire time, but yet my mom snf entire family seem to disapprove. But I've decided that I will go to greater lengths to onyesha her how much this means to me. I'm going to work hard to save enough to buy my own Cosplay and if she refuses to be with me just because I'll be someone different than she can just stay away from the convention for all I care. I'll make my own Marafiki regardless of what I do.

? Clothing does not have genders. Hair lengths do not have genders.
Boys can wear whatever they want.
Girls can wear whatever they want.
Nonbinary people can wear whatever they want.

It's not a matter of "boy clothes" au "girl clothes", it's a matter of "hey, i want to cosplay as a female character" And if wewe want to, sure! It's not right to judge someone based on the clothes they wear, no matter what it's for.

And "act like a boy"??? Dude, all people have different personalities and can act however they please. Gender doesn't have anything to do with it.

What I'm saying is:
Go ahead. Cosplay is supposed to be fun, so don't let others stop wewe from enjoying yourself. I'm sure you'll be a great cosplayer!
