Because going on a spot where you don't like the subject and making a pick like this shows your full maturity :) well done on that.

I must disagree. His material is not childishly funny. It's youthfully funny. No one who finds it funny, has any need to grow up. I can't imagine children and very old people enjoying his material. But it's definitely relatable to teenagers and young adults.

He's hilarious.

It's his boyish, energic and lively way of performing and phrasing, combined to how he doesn't (try to) write anything special or in-a-way-complicated jokes, but tears humour out of the most relatable everyday situations and emotions in life we all know, including the unlimited yet sometimes similiar ways our imaginations add to them. Like in the one about being late for work. Sometimes he's over-killing it all in a blackish-humour way but remains within good taste. Like the end of the B&E/The Door Kicker. Or about the ways to die, with the drowning+fire part. How about the totally random but still perfectly fitting-the-story jokes, like the Windex Ghost.

I love Brian Regan almost as much, and George Carlin has some good ones too, but... They lack some aspect of genuinety, which in itself they of course have.

Dane's style also makes the entire material seem more spontanious, even though it of course is written and rehearsed, basically.
