I finally watched Man of Steel (I love it.) I'm a big fan of Henry Cavill's Superman so I was expecting him to be my favorite character, but General Zod was surprisingly a sympathetic and scene stealing character. Michael Shannon did a great job at playing him so General Zod is my favorite and Superman is my second favorite.

my brother flat out adores zod! and the "i have no people" speech was sad as heck but i have to give props to Henry cavill for being the interpretation of clark that actually interested me in superman and his mythos and capability for complexity
