	Cinders picked No: I am very open to other religions and practices-- which is precisely WHY I don't think it's wrong at all. You're wishing them well, whether they celebrate the holiday or not. I hate it when people are afraid to express good will because they think it will offend someone. In Egypt, I would say "Merry Christmas!" and they would respond with (if the moon was right) "Happy Eid/Ramadan!" And we both appreciated it. posted zaidi ya mwaka mmoja uliopita.

I guess it would be better is people said Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas but it's really not such a big deal. Like for instance, i'm jewish, and when people say Merry Christams I just say thank you. The meaning is still the smae. If this is such a big deal you can argue that, why on holiday commercials they only talk about Christmas instead of Ramadaan or Hannukah.
