I'm not familiar with the acting of these actresses but I STRONGLY dislike Emma Watson as Belle.

I believe for such a role they shouldn't have picked an actress that had played a bookworm and such an identifying and similar to Belle's character role. Because, though I like Emma Watson, when I saw the movie I couldn't picture her as Belle. I was watching Hermione Granger starring in Beauty and the Beast. I really liked the movie and Watson was good but I would prefer someone else to play the role.

Some of the above actresses are not (I guess) so well known so for those who don't know them I 'll write the movies or the TV series where I saw them starring. Emilia Clarke: Game of Thrones (Daenerys Targaryen), Me before you (Lou Clark), Astrid Berges-Frisbey: Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (Syrena), Adelaide Kane: Reign (Queen Mary Stuart), Lily Collins: Mirror Mirror (Snow White)..

She was good at playing Snow White so she would work better here than Emma Watson ever did. I also would have liked Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley, or Emmy Rossum but they are all too old now.

I totally agree with you! I didn't put Hathaway (she could be the ultimate Belle),Portman and Knightley in the list only because of their age. I included Emilia Clarke though, despite she is at her 30's ,because I believe she looks much more younger than she is. I would absolutely love to see Adelaide Kane as Belle (she is a pure beauty, not to mention an absolute Bell look alike, really good actress and at the same age as Watson) or maybe Lily Collins (she is extremely beautiful and I enjoyed her acting in Mirror Mirror)!

Emma Watson was a terrible choice. She simply can't act her way out of a bag, sorry dress lovers and potterheads.

i don't get why Emma Watson has so many fans, to me she's an average actress and an average looking girl. nothing special about her.

I find it funny how people are still complaining about the casting choice when 1. the movie's already out, and 2. there's nothing y'all can do about it, so keep on losing.

No need to be upset because someone else doesn't agree with you. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To you Watson is a goddess, to me she is just a plain girl, not ugly not beautiful. That Astrid-who-girl is more more appealing to me.. So? Do we have to argue now? Peace m8

Um try someone who can actually sing lol like perhaps... Anna Kendrick? She and Emma look basically the same anyway but Anna can carry a tune without sounding dead inside
