I upendo our Disney heroines, so I thought it might be fun to write an makala celebrating my favorites! Disney has aliyopewa us some great females, and these are some of my favorites.

Favorite Animal Heroine: Perdita
I upendo Perdita! She’s such a good mother to her puppies. I upendo all the effort she puts into finding her puppies. She’s even willing to go to Cruella De Vil’s house in order to find them all. She will go to any lengths to protect them. And I upendo how she takes in all of the mtoto wa mbwa in the end! She is such a kind and giving dog and I just upendo her- and this is coming from a cat person!


Favorite Heroine Friend: Nakoma
I’ve already written an entire makala on why I upendo her, so I’ll try and just summarize. Nakoma is an awesome friend to Pocahontas. She puts Pocahontas before herself and their friendship, and that takes a ton of courage. wewe have to really care about a friend to possibly jeopardize your friendship in order to protect your friend. I also upendo the way she tries to correct her mistakes. I upendo the way she cares for her people. I upendo the way she tries to act all mature and then lets loose and has fun. In a lot of ways I deeply relate to Nakoma, and I really admire her.


Favorite Young Heroine: Alice
I really upendo Alice. She’s another one I relate to in a very profound way. A lot of times, I feel like Alice. I feel like I live in my own ndoto world that I’ve made up in my head that no one else is a part of. I’ve sort of created my own Wonderland. I relate to her wanting to be in her own world of her creation and finding the real world unsatisfying. I also upendo her curiosity. It might get her into trouble, but she is just so interested in everything. Alice is just such a fun character.


Favorite Non-DP Princess: Kida
Right, so I needed a category for her in order to fit all the heroines I wanted to. I absolutely upendo Kida. She’s just so selfless and cares so much for her people. She was willing to be turned into a freaking crystal! I upendo the way she gives everything for the Atlanteans and does everything to try and revive their culture. I also upendo the way she falls for Milo. I just upendo the nerdy guy/ hot femme archetype! Kida is so strong and selfless, and I upendo that.


Favorite Non-Princes Heroine: Jane
Jane is such a fun character! She’s kind of a damsel, but that makes sense because she’s this proper English girl in the middle of a wild jungle. Jane is just so kind with the way she deals with Tarzan. I upendo the way they first meet and she looks into his eyes. Also, she is so caring and gentle with him when she teaches him English. She is a very patient person! I also upendo watching her describe meeting Tarzan! She’s just so hilarious and cute! Jane is really expressive. Jane is really creative and a very sweet and caring person.


Favorite Disney Princess: Mulan
Anyone who knows me from the Disney princess spot will not be surprised kwa this. Mulan is my inayopendelewa Disney character. She is just such an amazing person! When I first watched Mulan, I was watching Honor to Us All and something about the clumsy, awkward girl on screen just entranced me. I upendo her both before and after she joins the army. Before she joins, I upendo her obedience and devotion to her family. After she joins the army, I upendo her courage and selflessness. I upendo how Mulan gives everything for her family and her people. I also upendo her struggle with who she is. Unlike most Disney heroines, who know exactly who they are their entire films, Mulan truly doesn’t know who she is. I upendo the way she struggles to find it throughout the movie. I also upendo how she isn’t a tomboy au a girly girl. She is just Mulan. I think she is a very wonderful character and an incredible person.



Pixar Mention: Edna
An Anna Wintor-esque three-foot high fashion designer voiced kwa a man. Need I say more? I also upendo Helen and Mirage.
