He walks along the beach.

The city is no longer crumbling into the sea, brick and concrete eaten kwa the angry waves. It's been rebuilt, stacks of buildings that trip into the distance like dominoes. Dom thinks about how easily he could make them fall, the sound they would make as they tumbled into one another, the satisfying crunch of it. He doesn't though, lets them continue to stand ramrod straight in the sun.

He sees her finally, in the distance, her head bobbing on the surface of the water. She's struggling in the vicious surf, waves knocking her down as soon as she gets her...
