All of the sudden people are adding wewe as a shabiki and you're earning medali and getting heshima and maoni on all the great stuff you've added. Before wewe know it you're making Marafiki and messaging with mashabiki from all over the world. You've been Fanpopped.

What I just described are the clear symptoms of Fanpopitis. Visitors become users who eventually become addicts! We've come to know so many great Fanpoppers since we launched the site back in August of 2006 and it's been growing ever since. We upendo it when we see a new face become really active in the community because it means that someone has found a nyumbani at Fanpop. That's why we wanted to make it easier for Fanpoppers to tell their Marafiki and family about the site!

Now wewe can see which of your Marafiki are already on fanpop kwa checking your e-mail address book on a bunch of webmail services like GMail, Yahoo! Mail, AOL Mail, and MSN Hotmail among many others. And if they're not on Fanpop, wewe can invite them and get credit in your Invite a Friend trophy. We just want to make sure people get recognized for successfully bringing a new member to the fanpop family.

We know that not everyone uses webmail anymore and a lot of people communicate with their Marafiki through social networks.
