Disclaimer: Yes I admit it, I didn't come up with this idea on my own, I saw something similar years zamani on a german website.

Here we go...
POPCOINS
Popcoins are virtual fanpop money.
The idea came to my mind when I was thinking about a possibility to change one's username without being able to change it all the time and without having to pay real money.

This is how popcoins would work:
There would be a popcoin symbol right inayofuata to where the heshima are.
Yes of course I made an image for wewe =) If I present an idea I do it properly.


wewe wouldn't have to pay real money to get popcoins, the idea is the following:
Every siku wewe get on fanpop wewe can click a particular button that says "Get 1 popcoin" and it gives wewe 1 popcoin.
Everyone can only get 1 popcoin per day, so if wewe get your daily popcoin everyday, you'll have 200 popcoins after 200 days.
If wewe forget to get your daily popcoin, wewe can NOT get 2 popcoins the inayofuata day, wewe only get one per siku and if wewe don't come on and pick it up, bad luck :p

Popcoins can NOT be sent from user to user
Of course it would be a nice idea to be able to send some popcoins to your friend's account as a nice surprise, BUT...I think wewe don't have to be a fortuneteller to know what would happen.
Can wewe plz send me 20 popcoins??ß I'll shabiki you!!!!!111
And of course users would create multiple accounts to get zaidi than 1 popcoin per day.
Popcoin whores. Disgusting. Annoying. Not good.
In other words: Everyone needs to earn their own popcoins.

Popcoins for usernames
Popcoins would be a very smooth solution to the username-change-problem. (which is not a problem per se, but I can see why some people want a new jina la mtumiaji from time to time)

A new jina la mtumiaji costs 160 popcoins for example. If wewe pick up your popcoin every siku and never forget, it will still take wewe 160 days (>5 months) to change your username.
This would prevent people from changing their name all the time but still give them the possibility to do so without losing all their contributions.

Extended use of popcoins
The following is even zaidi unnecessary, I call it the additional fun.
Older users will probably shake their heads, but since there are many kiddos on fanpop au those like me who are not embarassed to enjoy some childish stuff, I'll present this idea too =)

The basic idea is to be able to buy virtual items with popcoins. Virtual items are present on many websites, including livejournal for example.

Why do I need virtual items?
Well, wewe don't.
wewe don't need them for anything. They are as unnecessary as imaginary ice cream, yet many people enjoy them. I think I would enjoy them.(Not as much as sex au a good movie though :pp)

The thought is that wewe have a fanpop virtual item duka which lists items wewe can buy. Some should be cheap and cost only a few popcoins, some should be rather expensive.
The interesting thing is that they are all limited in their numbers. Every few weeks new items will be added and so on and so on.

wewe buy the items without pictures- because adding the pictures is your job :D
wewe can change these pictures all the time and if wewe don't want an item anymore, wewe can sell it back to the duka and it will be available again for another user to buy.

I know a lot of wewe don't like change, please kubeba in mind that this is just an idea and not very likely at all to ever happen, so refrain from throwing rotten tomatoes at me.
