I've been on fanpop for exactly a mwaka now!
And in my time on this site, I've seen upendo and hate, I've seen new ideas and old traditions, I've seen agreements and nasty debates, I've seen just about everything. But back in the day, In 2007, fanpop used to be about nothing but fun, love, and sharing interests. The past few months, most of what I have seen is hate, criticism, hypocrisy, competition, and bullying. We have seen mashabiki write very mean things about other mashabiki (not naming names), we have seen mashabiki gaining up against other fans, we have seen cheaters, and we have seen several beloved...

Hey, everyone. I'm sure most of wewe have heard of au are familar with role playing, right? I'm not talking about RPG games, but the actual act of role playing. Where wewe get into a character from a series, game, movie, etc, au create your own character and post with one person au a group with your own storyline and setting. The genres are vast, everything from anime to wolves. It's a maarufu activity that many (as far as I can tell) enjoy, and it's found on many sites. A lot have foramu dedicated to it as well. fanpop is becoming increasingly popular, so I wonder why role playing hasn't been...

Yes, people of fanpop, today (April 4th, 2008) is the 1 mwaka anniversary of me joining fanpop. To celebrate this I have made a timeline about my first mwaka on fanpop, which will onyesha how it changed my life.

(Some of these are dated, some are not, and this is because some of the dates I don't remember.)

January 26th 2007: While looking for great Office stuff on Google, I discover a little site called fanpop.

April 3rd, 2007: I wanted to sign up for fanpop, but my parents wouldn't allow me to because they didn't like me giving out my e-mail address, so I decided that I was going to use a hotmail...

Okay, so I am sitting here with my broken toe, trying to finish off a book, and I think, "God. fanpop is just insanely awesome." I mean, big surprise, why would I be a part of something I don't like? But I am honestly so bored that I am going to make a orodha of ten reasons why I upendo this place (in no order of importance).
