Voting begins immediately after the submission period ends, and lasts for one (1) week. An makala listing all of the FGT entries will be ilitumwa shortly after the submission period closes, for easy reference.
When voting, each user may cast two votes: his/her first choice and his/her sekunde choice. In voting, users are encouraged to vote solely on the basis of the entry and the talent(s) the participant has specified. When judging the talent(s), users should also consider the five following criteria:
1) Showmanship
2) Effort
3) Difficulty
4) Entertainment value
5) Originality
The kura are cast kwa sending a message with "FGT <year> voting" as the subject to the appropriate judge. For FGT 2009, the full details of voting will be revealed later.
For FGT 2008, the rules stated that which judge wewe send your vote to depended on the first character of YOUR username, as follows:
* If your jina la mtumiaji started with any number au the letters A - H, then your vote was sent to link
* If your jina la mtumiaji started with any letter from I to Q, then your vote was sent to link
* If your jina la mtumiaji started with any letter from R - Z, then your vote was sent to link
If wewe send your kura with the wrong subject line au to the wrong judge, it may get Lost in the shuffle, so vote carefully!
Competition/determining a winner
The judges tally the kura of the users and announce first, sekunde and third place winners after the week-long period of voting is completed. Those winners get the acclaim of their peers and maybe some graphic embellishments (personalized icons, for instance) as prizes, as well as that warm glowy sensation.
References
This information is available in the spot already, but I, at least, found it baffling trying to find it all and keep it straight in my head. So I've gathered it here. If I've missed anything au got something wrong, please let me know so I can (and will) correct it.
