Was au is Brianne Leary Marafiki with actress Markie Post

I was wondering if Brianne Leary & Markie Post were/are friends. Brianne Leary appeared in a few TV shows with actress Markie Post including The upendo Boat, Night Court & Hearts Afire. Hearts Afire is from 1993 & the last time Brianne acted was in 1986. I thought perhaps if Markie was Marafiki with Brianne she may have asked Brianne to appear on Hearts Afire. Just curious.
