as much as i'd love to see the alt universe be destroyed, i really doubt the writers will do this. somehow Peter will appear at the last second and stop the machine. Sam Weiss might have some role in helping him do this but it's hard to say. the only storyline worse than Peter stopping it would be the universe being reborn anew, as if the whole thing didn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

Well considering that Peter can not even get in the machine i don't think he will turn it off as much as i do not trust Sam he is the only who can help now

he can't get in the machine so far but i'm willing to bet Sam will know how to change that. or maybe Peter's contact with the machine will have altered him in some way so that he will be able to use it now.
