Katy Perry and Harry Styles Had chajio, chakula cha jioni Date? Not So Fast! Rumor Patrol

Katy Perry and Harry Styles seem like they would have fun together — and the Taylor Swift connection makes the idea great for gossip — but that doesn\'t mean they did just have a dinner date.

There\'s apparently a rumor floating around that Katy and Harry were eating together at Nobu in Los Angeles earlier this week, possibly bonding over a shared lack of love for Tay.

(As you probably know, Taylor once dated One Direction singer Harry, and Katy used to date John Mayer, who previously dated Taylor. Taylor has a new song called “Bad Blood” about a rivalry between herself and another female artist, possibly/probably Katy. Plus, Katy did kiss Harry that one time...)

While the new Katy/Harry “date” sighting might be a tempting rumor for some to believe, Gossip Cop talked to "an impeccable source close to the situation" who said "There\'s no truth" to the story. "They just happened to be in the same place at the same time," the source said. The two singers "did not dine together."

In Hollywood, if a famous woman stands next to a famous man they end up linked in a relationship story. Now they just have to be at the same restaurant. Eh.
