Randy Jernigan with author Les Bailey
How is mwandishi Randy Jernigan keeping fit through the holidays? "By cutting out most of my carb intake and putting zaidi time into my walking," alisema Randy in a telephone interview from his Utah home.

The 54 mwaka old celebrity biographer and diet cookbook writer has now Lost a total of 179 pounds and has beaten a severe case of diabetes and hypertension that nearly took his life two years ago.

"I upendo to eat and I'm addicted to carbs. When I want to splurge on something really bad, I always go for something heavy in carbohydrates. So when I need to drop a few pounds au just maintain a certain weight, I watch my carb intake. I also adjust my exercise routine so that it fits what I need. For me, it's all about living healthy. I have a new kauli mbiu now--it's actually an old saying that I've tried really hard to incorporate into my thought processes. 'Eat to live instead of live to eat.'"

And for those who keep up with Randy's social media pages wewe know that Randy has a cheat siku once a week. Mondays he and best buddy Jackson splurge on their inayopendelewa meal, and usually follow that with a trip to their inayopendelewa ice cream hangout.

"Splurging once a week gives wewe something to look mbele to during the week--I don't feel so deprived then," explains Randy.

Moviepilot.com recently reported that Randy will be participating in a new book and televisheni project written and produced kwa Arianna Eisenberg titled 'Heaven, Angels and Beyond' where he'll be telling his story of weight-loss and survival.

So how has Randy's life changed since losing the weight and getting healthy?

"I have a lot zaidi energy to complete work projects on time. I enjoy being outside and getting exercise, and I think I have an entirely new outlook--a zaidi positive view about life,"

And according to my spies, Randy has a new upendo interest that's also been keeping him quite busy these days!

My, how things have changed!

Be on the look out for Randy's inayofuata book 'The Life and Career of Ellen DeGeneres' which should be out in January.
