I don't know age doesn't matter if Lupin was the DADA(same age difference) and Tonks was a 7th year I'll still pair them but I can't think of any off hand that I would be OK with

nooo, not really! I've read one or two that weren't completely horrible but...NO! That's just aginst the rules of nature...you're not supposed to see your teachers as humans!

it's immoral, when you send your kids to school you are leaving them with people you trust, people you believe will nurture them and ready them for the real world, if I had a teen and I found out he/she was having an illicit affair with the teacher I'd feel sick, I'd be wondering how old my kid had been when it started, I would wonder how many other kids this teacher has been involved with, and more over, is this teacher a paedophile? Ya I wouldn't feel safe sending my kids to school where they were likely to elope with the teacher lol.
So even though Hogwarts is fictional (no matter how much I want it to be real XD), I still stick by the same principle, But I don't have anything against ex student/teacher parings cos that would be totally legal (assuming the ex student is of age)
