Chapter 3: And I stood at a distance to feel who wewe are

Kutner entered the conference room and tossed his kanzu, koti over a chair. He was the first one there, like usual.

He started making coffee and a few dakika later Thirteen came in.

The silence was awkward, if nothing else, and was interrupted kwa the coffee machine.

Kutner took a deep breath.

“Thirteen,” he began. “What exactly is our relationship?”

“I’m not sure,” Thirteen answered after some thought. “Are we really in a relationship?”

“I don’t know,” Kutner answered. “That’s why I was asking.”

“I don’t really feel like we are,” Thirteen said, not looking at him. “But I kind of feel like we should be.”

Kutner nodded.

“If wewe don’t want to though, that’s fine,” Thirteen added, still not looking at him. “It’s better for you, anyway.”

“No, I definitely want to,” Kutner assured her.

“Want to what?” Foreman asked walking in.

“Take her to the mechanic to pick up her car,” Kutner lied quickly.

Foreman nodded and sat down with his newspaper.

Thirteen made sure Foreman was hidden behind his paper before shooting Kutner an impressed look.

“My car will be finished at seven o’clock tomorrow night,” Thirteen said. “If you’re sure wewe want to take me.”

“Of course,” Kutner said, realizing that they really weren’t talking about her car at all. “Do wewe know what place it’s going to, au do wewe want me to decide?”

“You can choose,” Thirteen said. “Just let me know what I need to bring.”

“I think I’ll send it to a nicer place,” Kutner said.

Foreman looked up from his paper.

“You guys are uigizaji funny,” he said. “What’s up?”

“Just discussing her car,” Kutner shrugged. “I’ll call wewe and let wewe know,” he added to Thirteen.

“Don’t wewe dare wait until one in the morning,” she warned him.

Kutner smiled just as Taub walked in.

“What’s going on,” he asked, seeing everyone’s expression.

“Thirteen’s car broke down,” Foreman informed him. “Kutner’s taking her to get it fixed.”

A glint of a laugh passed through Taub’s eyes before he sat down.

“So where are wewe getting it fixed at?” Taub asked.

Just then House entered with Wilson on his tail, so Kutner closed his mouth, knowing he and Thirteen would never hear the end of it if House found out.

First attempt at something this medically orientated... kubeba with me guys, I'm trying. House is sick again: he hides it. Wilson grows characteristically concerned... as Cuddy does uncharacteristically. What happens? How do they deal with it? What becomes of House?

Read, find out, enjoy!

Never Better (Chapter 1)

Bad days were always the same: House woke up in pain, sighed, lied panting in his own pool of sweat as he watched the spasms travel through his thigh. He measured his willingness to go in that siku kwa the severity of the pain, the chance that Cuddy would find him something particularly...

~Chapter 1~

Lisa Cuddy was sitting at her dawati – the one she had in Med-School. Why did House put it in her new office? She didn’t know. She thought about the events that had occurred while she was using House’s office, as small glistening tears rolled down her flawless face. I can’t believe I actually thought that he cared about me, let alone like me! Cuddy thought, I mean, what was I thinking? People don’t change – especially someone like House. She leaned back in her chair and admired her new office,...

„Coffee?“
He didn’t get a response.

Limping slowly up the sidewalk towards the front entry of PPHT, House carefully picked his way across the ice covered cement, his anger growing with each hesitant step. The morning had started off just cold and wet, but in the last saa the temperature had dropped ten degrees and turned the rain into sleet which now covered every surface making the park lot and path to the door into an ice rink. The drive to the hospital had been treacherous, but for House it was a cake walk compared to the 25 yard walk from his car to the front doors of the hospital. His cane had slipped on the slick walk...

One siku after the surgery Wilson went in to visit Cuddy and she asked him if he would wheel her down the hall to see House, he was out of the clean room, his immune system no longer needed to be suppressed. It wasn’t attacking the liver, he took her down the hall and left her there with House alone.

Cuddy got nyumbani and kept that strange moment in her mind. He was so close to her. Was he thinking about giving her a chance? Was he giving her a sign? She was confused and tired. Once inside, Cuddy left her briefcase, mkoba and mfuko wa fedha, mfuko on the floor, took her kanzu, koti and fell on the sofa. She fell asleep instantly.

Suddenly, she heard her mobile ringing. Not now, she thought. Yawning she picked it up.

“Hello?”

Cuddy opened her door and went straight to her room, she had completely forgotten about Wilson and Erin. She stopped at her bedroom door while her brain processed the last piece of information that she had seen. She gave a few steps back and looked at her couch, and there they were; two people, Erin and James. Wilson’s arms were around Erin’s body, they hugged and looked so peaceful; she wished she was in their place, she wanted to feel a hug, the warmth of his skin against hers. Chapter 7

Rolling over in bed, Lisa Cuddy sighed and snuggled deeper beneath her down comforter. All around her, bright morning sunshine poured around and through the cream colored curtains hanging in her bedroom windows, its cheerful light pulled her reluctantly but deliberately towards consciousness. Yawning sleepily, she lifting one, then both eye lids then blinked a few times as her eyes adjusted to the brightness that filled her room. What actions were considered irreversable, unforgivable? House sometimes wondered.
He often went down the list, because, at some point, he was bound to kuvuka, msalaba the line. For he was a person who took risks, and, in doing so, he allowed the tipping point.
He usually wound up with three stock answers:
Laziness B) Hypocricy C) Murder (Manslaughter and begrudgingly being escorted nyumbani kwa a secret witch-in-training could be waved, aliyopewa special circumstances).

What could he have done that constituded either of these three above, that would give Wilson the justification of giving him the Silent...

CHAPTER 2
The team didn’t know what to do, no one wanted to follow him, nobody knew what to say and they really didn’t have a case, so they let him be.

House didn’t want to risk running into anybody else, but he was hungry, he had left without breakfast this morning and the hunger pains on juu of his leg was just too much. So despite his better judgment he headed to the cafeteria, he thought briefly about gluing the sunglasses to his head, but that wouldn’t work. He was going to have to do something about this sooner au later, zaidi likely sooner. And there...
