Disclaimer: I do not own House, the characters, au the song. However the story is mine.
Sorry I'm not updating as often as I would like to, but I promise I try to get them up as often as I can. Let me know what wewe think :)
-----
It was the inayofuata siku and Cuddy couldn't focus on her work. She had read the same line 15 times and she still had no idea what she had read. Her mind was on House and his 'girlfriend.' She had told Lucas about it and he had asked if it was a problem and of course she alisema no. She didn't know who she was trying to reassure more. Lucas au herself. House had solved his case last night so she decided to give him a break and maybe she would go up and talk to him.
No! wewe need to stay away from him, she scolded herself.
She looked back down at the paper and read the line again. She sighed, she wasn't going to be able to focus with him on her mind. What the hay, I'm just gonna go talk to him, she thought.
She got out of her chair and made her way up to his floor. She walked down the hall, but what she didn't expect to see was some woman sitting on his dawati and them laughing. Suddenly she felt like crying, but she felt the need to talk to him. With zaidi grace than she felt at the moment, she peeked her head in and said, "House can I talk to wewe for a minute?"
House looked up and eyed her curiously knowing this had nothing to do with hospital business. "Uh..sure. Excuse me Lydia," he alisema giving her a peck on the lips while walking kwa her.
"Sure thing Greg," Lydia answered back almost innocently. Lydia didn't know who that woman was, but she didn't like her already.
Cuddy resisted the urge to scream after watching House kiss that woman. She didn't know who that woman was, but she didn't like her already. God is that accent annoying, she thought to herself.
House walked outside and looked at Cuddy curiously, "what do wewe want?"
"I came to see how wewe were doing after your last patient, but not that I'm up here there is a new matter at hand. Why is there a hooker in my hospital," Cuddy asked with anger in her eyes.
"First off, why do wewe care how I'm doing? And secondly, she isn't a hooker. She's my girlfriend." The only thing House could see was anger in her eyes, but the sekunde he alisema girlfriend her eyes flashed with different emotions. As quickly as it came though it was gone as the ukuta came up.
"Oh ok. Nevermind then," she alisema as she turned and walked away.
Once again House didn't stop her. This was getting to him how weird she was acting. he didn't think he could take much more. Sure he would have been fine if she had been uigizaji as she had before he told her he was moving on, but she had been uigizaji much different. He quickly shoved the thoughts out of his mind, shook his head, and walked back to his office.
-----
Cuddy walked back into her office, plopped down on her couch, and let the tears fall. She needed to stop this. She had moved onto Lucas and told herself she was going to let House go, but now that he had decided to songesha on she couldn't. The door to her office opened and she quickly wiped the tears and looked up. She looked shocked for a dakika as she saw Lucas standing there, but then she remembered they were supposed to have lunch.
He looked at her and saw her red eyes, instantly knowing she had been crying. He knew the only person that could cause her to cry like this would be House. Lucas decided to give House a piece of his mind later. This needed to stop. All he was doing was interfering with his relationship with Cuddy.
She looked at him apologetically and got up. "Let's just go to the cafeteria. I'm not in the mood to go out right now."
He sighed, "ok that's fine. Whatever wewe want."
She smiled at him and they walked hand-in-hand to the cafeteria. She was starting to cheer up as Lucas told her some jokes, but the minuter she entered the cafeteria that happiness quickly died. The last thing she wanted to see was House and his girlfriend having lunch together. She just couldn't seem to get away from them.
Lucas saw her demeanor change and quickly followed her line of sight. He saw House and some girl sitting in the corner having lunch. Why would that bother her, he thought. It was enough he need to talk to House now.
Lucas stalked across the lunchroom towards House as Cuddy stood shocked, but quickly recovered and ran after him.
"You need to quit playing games with her House," Lucas yelled and House just looked at him flabbergasted.
"What are wewe talking about? I'm sitting her having lunch with my girlfriend. How is that toying with her," House asked as he got past the shock.
"You know what I mean! I'm talking about Lisa. She's been uigizaji different lately and it's all because of you. Any life that used to be left in her eyes is dead and it's all because of something wewe did!" Lucas was getting past mad and Cuddy tugged on his arm trying to pull him away before he did something drastic. She had been standing there the whole time, but quickly realized that someone was going to lash out and someone was going to get hurt from it.
"If she has been uigizaji different lately it's not something I've done. I can assure wewe of that. The only thing I've been doing is trying to songesha past her. Maybe wewe should just ask her what's wrong instead of making accusations." House wasn't about to let this small freak say something like this to him, but apparently Lucas wasn't going to leave without a fight.
"Lucas stop," Cuddy pleaded with him. Lucas glanced at her.
"No, Lisa this needs to be said." Cuddy didn't like the sound of that.
"I realize she may have been your savior in your little fantasy, but she isn't. She shouldn't have to look after you. So just leave her alone and do what wewe were hired to do," Lucas alisema as he pointed at House. He was past furious right now.
"I realize she isn't my savior. Thanks for the reality check. I was wondering why I spent 3 months in a mental hospital. In case wewe didn't know this I am doing my job. I haven't talked to your girlfriend at all this week. If I had she talked to me au it was about a procedure I needed permission for, but once again how would wewe know any of that? It's obvious she isn't talking to wewe about that," alisema House as he stood up. He and Lucas were face to face and Cuddy didn't like it one bit. Things were going to get bad fast if she didn't stop this.
Cuddy quickly stood between them with her back to House. "Lucas leave him alone. Let's go out to eat. I'm suddenly hungry for something other than hospital food."
Lucas looked down at her shocked. He couldn't believe she was basically defending him. After all the crap he put her through and here she was defending him! At that point something suddenly clicked in Lucas's mind. House had done something, but it wasn't intentional. He was trying to songesha on and Cuddy became differnt. It explained the quick change in emotion when she saw House and his girlfriend together when they walked in the lunchroom. It also explained her attitude shift lately. She had feeling for House.
Cuddy noticed the different emotions passing through Lucas's eyes and quickly realized it was too late. He had figured it all out. She needed to get him out of there fast. She turned to House and apologized for her boyfriend's actions and almost dragged Lucas out of the lunchroom with her.
-----
Cuddy walked into her house and sighed. She had spent forever trying to convince Lucas nothing was going to come out of her and House's 'friendship,' if it could even be called that. She had been right when she thought he had figured it all out. How she thought she could fool him was beyond herself, but at least they hadn't broken up. Cuddy knew she had to get past House, but she wasn't quite sure how to do that yet. She did know that having Lucas helped though. Getting up from the kitanda she sighed, checked her daughter, and got ready for bed.
-----
"Your in upendo with me,
wewe just don't know it yet.
Everyone sees it,
But wewe won't admit,
That your already in too deep,
And there's no going back.
How much longer are wewe gonna hide?
Make up your mind au you'll run out of time.
I know that she's beautiful,
But out loves inevitable."
