hujambo Guys! HS au Regi here! wewe must not know me unless wewe were over the Huddy fandom since the Joy kiss, because I’ve been absent of the Huddy fandom since the beginning of season 6 and this is why: Our fandom is slowly dying and the ones that aren’t dying are being killed kwa others.

So, I decided to explain wewe my experience kwa relating everything to the five stages before death: Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance. Here’s how the story rolls:

DENIAL (aka OMG! This can’t be happening! It’s not happening!)

Before the season began, we were already receiving spoilers about House sleeping with another woman and Cuddy was going to be in a relationship (I recall we didn’t know who until like a mwezi after the first announcement).

I have to admit it I was like “WTF? NOOO!” But then I thought about Cuddy’s situation. She’s a woman who for 5 years we hadn’t seen in a relationship and her fail dates don’t count. Cuddy had always dreamt about having a baby and in season 5, she got it! We felt so proud and happy for her and in s5 we didn’t complain because there was Huddy overload. Eventually, Cuddy seemed to have trouble handling her baby time with work and knowing how insecure Cuddy is, baby sitters didn’t give her enough reliability, so there was another vacancy in her life. She needed a companion, a lover. Cuddy was considering House but House felt jealous about the baby in Cuddy’s life so as usual he acted childish and pushed her away. Cuddy wanted to be with House, we all could see it but in Under My Skin, House’s maoni about Cuddy’s child crossed the line. Cuddy felt that House, besides being a jerk with Cuddy, was being a jerk with Rachel so Cuddy obviously got down from her wingu and landed in reality. House would never be suitable for the job of being a parent for Rachel so she gave up on trying achieving a relationship with House. House on the other hand in Both Sides Now, he was trying to settle things with Cuddy but let’s say…things ended up in Mayfield. When things went to Mayfield, Cuddy loss control on the subject, she accepted things will never be possible between them and so during ‘Mayfield time’ she searched for a partner.

House was in Mayfield, he was recovering from a strong shocking mental breakdown, he didn’t like the system, he thought the people were creepy and he was obviously uncomfortable and scared about the situation. He wanted for someone to go hug him and tell him everything would be fine but that’s not what happened. Lydia appeared and let me tell wewe about this I hated her when she first appeared on screen but then I found her character lovely, it was the someone House needed at the time.
So after understanding both of the characters situation I was like “Ok , I don’t blame either of them and I don’t hate Lydia.” Lucas I couldn’t tell since he didn’t appear till 6x07.

Now, let me tell you, not everyone saw it the way I did and I found maoni like this:

“OMG! NOOOO! I hate Lydia! She’s horrible and she’s a cheater. This can’t be happening. It’s probably a hallucination” Those were when the promo came out, though Lydia was called random-stranger.

After the episode it was “OMG NOOOO! How could that really happened? Are the writers nuts? kwa the end of the season it will be a hallucination, I bet you.”

Huddies, we were in denial. We couldn’t accept the fact that characters could lay eyes in other persons. And some persons who accepted the facts left little kwa little.

ANGER (mostly known as the I’MMA KILL THOSE F***ING WRITERS!)

At this point I had left the spot almost completely. Episodes passed and Known Unknowns came. We were all squeeing and happily imba until spoilers came (Spoilers are cold hearted bitches!) and told us we we’re gonna see Lucas.
Instantly people began name calling him “Luc-ass” ,“Puke-ass”, “Baby-sitter” and other not really nice names. We began screaming and pointing fingers at the writer, producers and even at the actors (Yes, there are people who can separate Lucas from Michael Weston). Huddies were mad. We began threatening about stop watching the onyesha (even though we did continue watching the show) and it was a pretty ugly fandom to be at.
This hate/anger stopped when we received news about “5 to 9” but later after that Spoilers *coughAUSIELLOcough* told us about a sex scene and a kuoga scene. wewe evoked it again, the Huddy devil inside us went insane and almost killed half of the fandom on its way. Unfortunately (or fortunately) Lucas didn’t last zaidi than 2 dakika and he was/is the clown of the sex circus.
Anger lasted I believe till 5 to 9 because then came this:

BARGAINING (aka wewe saw that! Cuddy was on the back of that scene, it’s obvious the writers are pointing out Huddy!)

This was pitiful, we searched a 0.0004723 dakika scene that shouted Huddy. Cuddy’s screen time after 5to 9 was/is almost non-existent and so the bargaining began. We wanted Huddy zaidi than anything because we were sick of all those Hilson moments, sick of Lucas, sick of House *insert Psycho scream here*

We tweeted Greg Yaitanes asking him to tell us there was gonna be zaidi Huddy. Even pwani decided to throw us a bone telling us Huddy will happen “Eventually.” We were on a desperate tafuta to find our ship but it only brought us to:

DEPRESSION (aka STUPID WRITERS! *insert fangirls cries* my dreams are torn! Huddy will never come true *more cries*!

This is the stage Huddies were living till today. We have already aliyopewa up on Huddy. We got really excited for “The Choice” scene, we had tried to push depression away kwa saying it’s only a Tv show, but it’s inevitable. Huddies are depressed. Most of them have stopped watching the onyesha for the occasionally Huddy scene. We are all emo like House, we think Lucas will be on the onyesha forever and nothing is bringing us up because Huddy itself is depressed.

I mean sure The Choice was a bone! I mean seriously analyzing the scene, House sounds like giving up, he sounds sad, he is having pain again (because of “Lydia” supposedly), he is getting drunk to no end.

We were on a road of no end. But we didn’t know the worst yet:

ACCEPTANCE (aka Cuddy is accepting, House too, why fight it?)

Huddies, we are DEAD! We have accepted that Cuddy is going to be with Lucas no matter what we do au say. We know writers won’t listen to us. We see how the ratings fall to 9.7 (The Choice ratings) and we don’t care anymore.

Huddies, were accepting the death of our ship, of our fandom. There’s many who have stopped shipping, who have stopped visiting shabiki site, who have stopped loving the show.

I’m a Huddy and I’ve felt the first two stages but I stopped myself because I didn’t want my upendo to the onyesha to die. I can’t say I’m content with my ship this mwaka and I’ve tried to stay positive, heck I’m positive and even if I fall in the end, I will fall Huddy.

Huddy fandom is experiencing these stages at different paces, some never entered this stages and kept being all sunny and happy. We need to be that way Huddies! We gotta be united and respect other people opinions and understand how characters act and why they are uigizaji that way. I’m telling wewe to get a degree in psychology but be rational, be logical and you’ll see there’s hope and besides hope there’s facts. Facts that have been aliyopewa to us and can’t make them disappear a la 1984 (George Owell book, that had a very absolutist government that hid/destroyed thing that were against to it.) Huddy exists (in a very fictional way).

Now cheer up, accept Cuddy was needy, accept House is screwed up, accept the onyesha is no full of joy and love, and accept these were the reasons why wewe upendo House in the first place. If wewe don’t like season 6, keep on seeing it, there will come another season, season 7. Get your hopes up, watch old seasons, but get your Huddy upendo back!
