"Josh?" I called. I walked in and shut the door behind me. "Are wewe home?"

"Where have wewe been?" His angry voice alisema behind me.

I turned around and smiled apologetically. "Sorry that I'm late for our date, but imba lessons went a little longer than expected."

He stepped closer. "Singing lessons? Is imba zaidi important to wewe than me?" He asked.

"What? No, of course not!"

He stepped closer. "Because that's what it feels like to me."

"Josh stop! Please you're starting to scare me!"

"Am I now?"

I moved to take a step back, but his hands reached out and grabbed onto my wrists before I could take a step. The grasp he had on my wrists was tight and painful.

"Oww Josh stop! You're hurting me!" I screamed.
A cold laugh came from him. I pulled as hard as I could trying to get out from his death tight grasp.

"Fine. If you're so eager to leave me, well then who the hell am I to stop you!"

He let go off my wrists.

I stumbled back unbalanced. I feel down onto the floor, slamming my head back against the tile.
My hand relexivly flew to the back of my head, but as I held onto my head, a warm liquid touched my hand.

"Blood?" I alisema mystified looking at the red liquid on my hand. Everything blured, and soon the room turned to black.

*~*

My eyes fluttered open to a bright, blurry glare of light above me. I thought for a dakika I'd bled myself to death, and this light was heaven's light. Only I heard shuffling inayofuata to me and hushed voices. A loud, annoying beeping sound also filled the room. When my eyes finally ajusted, I was able to see I was just in a hospital room. The beeping came from the many machines hooked up to my arm, and the hushed talking was my parents. I noticed Josh was here too. He must have fallen asleep in the chair inayofuata to my bed.

"Wh-what time is it?" I tried asking, my voice still hoarse.

"Ohh baby," mother gasped, sprinting over to me and kissing every inch of my face she possibly could. My father poured me a glass of water, which I downed within seconds. "We thought wewe were a goner there for a while. Ohh, I'm so happy your awake. I upendo wewe so much, pumpkin."

I felt her tears soak my shoulder as she started crying while hugging me. I hadn't notice tears coming from my own eyes until I tasted the salty taste of them touch my lips. I reached up to wipe them off, and so did mother.

"Can wewe remember what happened?" My dad asked quietly, not wanting to disturb sleeping Josh.

Normally, I would've appricated Dad for his kindness to my dotting boyfriend, but right now I was so upset at Josh. He had a lot of apologizing and punda kissing to do once he woke up, to make up for hurting me. I understood him when he was upset, because of his dad dying. That, however, did not give him the right to ever lay a finger on a girl. Guys should never ever ever be abusive towards women. I was beyond mad, but I knew Josh better then anyone. He wasn't a bad person, and I couldn't tell anyone the truth and get him in trouble. He didn't deserve to get in a whole load of trouble, just because of one stupid mistake he made whenever he was hurting and upset. Besides, Josh would never purposely put me in the hospital.

"No, sorry." I lied, "all that I can remember is walking to Josh's house after my imba lessons, and I think I may have tripped on my way there. It's all black after that until waking up here."

"Well thank god that Josh found wewe then." Mom amended.

I nodded, and finally we heard stirring in the chair inayofuata to me. Josh woke up with a yawn.

"Oh my god ! " He sighed, and stood up immediatly pulling me into a hug. Gently though, as if I were made from glass, "I'm so happy you're okay, baby. I upendo you."

"I upendo wewe too, Josh." I replied, and to be honest; I still did.

Even after he hurt me, he still meant the world to me. I know it was stupid, but we'd never had a absive relationship before all of this. Why would I break up with him over a little insignificant fight?

"Doctors alisema wewe had a pretty hard fall. wewe were just knocked unconcious for a few hours, but after they check wewe out; you'll probably be able to come back nyumbani tonight. I called off work so I can stay and take care of you, too." My mom explained.

"Thanks mom, but I feel fine. Really." I assured.

"Okayy, sweetie." She smiled.

I admitted, placing a hand on my forehead, "But I do have a pretty bad headache."

Josh hopped up at once, "I'll go get some asprin for you. Be right back."

I smiled, that was the Josh I knew. The childhood neighbor of mine, who was caring, funny, and helpful. He'd do anything to help someone in need. Maybe this whole iccident finally made him realize how crazy he's been uigizaji ever since his dad died. Somehow I knew everything would go back to normal from now on.

I thankfully took the asprin from him once he returned, and he also brought a huge bouquet of flowers with him.

"Because I feel really bad that you're in here. I just want to make wewe happy again." He explained.

Aware that my parents were still with us, and not wanting to say anything that would give away the truth. I just smiled, and accepted the beautifuly colored flowers.

"Can wewe guys give me and Josh some privacy? Just for a minute; I'd like to talk to him." I asked. They nodded, and stepped outside the room.

"Josh...you know, these flowers are really great. But flowers aren't going to make up for what wewe did. You're the reason I'm in here, Josh. wewe hurt me." I accused.

He looked down, then back up at me, tears now forming in his eyes. It broke my moyo to see him look so broken, "Hayley, I upendo you. I promise, I don't know why I did that. I should've stopped as soon as wewe wanted me to. I just got so upset, and I Lost it. I'm really not violent, Hayles. wewe know that. wewe know me....and do wewe honestly believe I'd do this to wewe on purpose?"

"Of course not." I replied without skipping a beat.

"I don't know how I'm ever going to make this up to you, but wewe have my word that I'll never ever hurt wewe again. Not even emotionally, because I can't stand the thought of living without wewe being with me. You're always there to help me, through me Dad's death, through everything really. wewe never deserved to be put in here, especially not because of me..."

"Shh, Josh. Please stop beating yourself up. I forgive you. Your just grieving is all. I promised to be there for you, and I stick to my promises." I said.

Josh assured me, "But I wouldn't blame wewe for breaking up with me right this moment, and telling me to get lost. Just say the word, and I'll leave."

"Trying to get away from me that bad?" I teased him, with a small smile.

He smiled, "Of course not, Baby. I upendo wewe so much."

"I upendo you, too."
