SHINee's Jonghyun dished on his feelings about making his solo debut during his 'hashtag' interview with 1theK!
Jonghyun revealed that he came up with 'BASE' as his album title because his first encounter with muziki was with the bass, besi instrument, and also mentioned that it rhymes with Taemin's solo album title, 'ACE'. He also chose IU as the artist whom he wants to collaborate with again. Although they previously collaborated for IU's "Gloomy Clock", he alisema wants IU to feature in his song inayofuata time. He later expressed his admiration for Wheesung, and alisema that he is paying homage to him with "Hallelujah".
