With the immense popularity of KBS2 drama Producer in the country, one of its main cast members IU has been experiencing a surge in popularity in China.

Impressed kwa her uigizaji in her role as juu singer Cindy in the weekend drama, IU has reportedly received multiple offers for upcoming Chinese projects, but she has not made any plans yet to schedule any official activities in the country.

The singer did, however, visit Guangzhou recently to promote cosmetic brand Qdsuh, which she endorses. Netizens chimed in on her surging popularity in China, voicing their admiration and upendo for the singer and her character in Producer.

[+1,489, -225] Looks like an IU fever has started in China. At first, she got so much flack for not matching her character but now her uigizaji has gotten better to the point that I get confused between IU and Cindy.

[+939, -90] Finale is this week. I’m hoping she gets a happy conclusion.

[+767, -134] IU is pretty!!

[+152, -36] Cha Tae Hyun, Kim Soo Hyun, and Gong Hyo Jin have always been popular, but this drama did wonders for IU.

On the July 23 episode of 'Hyori's kitanda and Breakfast', IU revealed that she was scared of Lee Hyori.

DEAN, like many K-Pop fans, revealed himself to be a big shabiki of IU!

On the June 3 edition of 'Sketchbook', DEAN shamelessly talked about his upendo towards IU. At MC Yoo Hee Yeol's swali on the K-Pop artist he most wants to collaborate with, DEAN answered immediately, as if he was just waiting for that question, "IU." DEAN went on to explain his loyalty for IU with a weird analogy, saying, "When an tembo performs tricks with its trunk, people enjoy it, correct? But that wasn't the elephant's design," drawing a tinkling of confused laughter from the audience with his odd comparison of IU to an elephant.

DEAN added, "I even have a song written for IU," and sent a personal message to her. He said, "I can't onyesha wewe on TV, so please contact me."

Perhaps we should be looking mbele to a DEAN x IU collab some time soon?
