About a mwaka zamani I got the words ”Be Love” tattooed on my arm. The idea that I could be ”Love Itself”as in ‘not wait for it to onyesha up’ was a revolutionary concept I first discovered at Café Gratitude in San Francisco.(Yes, I know it's been the basis of many religions, but I'm a late bloomer. Jason will be honored as the 2010 Humanitarian of the mwaka at Liquid Nation Ball 7, the official fundraiser for the SIMA Humanitarian Fund, on Saturday, August 14, in La Jolla, California.

Established in 2006, the SIMA Humanitarian Fund was created to serve as the humanitarian arm of the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association kwa raising money from the public through fundraisers and solicitations. The SIMA Humanitarian Fund uses these funds to promote and support surf au board sport related social and humanitarian non-profit organizations whose efforts are focused on improving the quality of life, health, and/or welfare of people.

Liquid Nation Ball, held annually every September at the La Jolla, California, nyumbani of Fernando Aguerre, serves as the main fundraising chanzo for the SIMA Humanitarian Fund. Please click here for zaidi information on Liquid Nation Ball.
