Gibbs sat at her desk. The one she would never come back to. He sifted through her files waiting. A small note fell out and caught his eye. He began to read.

Dear Jethro,

I upendo you.

I always have and always will. wewe are one of the

few reasons I wake up in the morning.

I was wrong to end what we had.

wewe are the upendo of my life and I’m

sorry it took me until the end of my

life to realize that.

He tucked the note in his pocket before he began to cry. He would cry later in the safety of his home. Now, he just had to wait.

She was dead. His Jenny. Never coming back. The woman he had loved for what seemed like his entire life was gone. He pulled out the letter and read it over and over again. He picked up a black pen and wrote in small letters:

I upendo wewe too.

And with that Leroy Jethro Gibbs broke down. That ukuta that always surrounded him, blocked his emotions, it crumbled. He thought about how her smile. That twinkle she got in her eye. Everyday he fell in upendo with her more. There would be no zaidi of those days. He knew she would wait for him, wherever it is that wewe go when wewe die. If she saw him right now she would be pissed. He could almost her. “Get up Jethro, I never thought of wewe as one to wallow in self pity!” He wiped his tears. He could live, knowing she was waiting for him.
